got VB OV rooms for Thanksgiving!!!

Just got Ocean View rooms at VB for Thanksgiving. Had 2br at BWV for a week, but decided to spend the first two days at VB since crowds are bad on Thurs and Fri. of that week. Besides, thought it would be a nice change of scenery. Okay, now for the questions...as I have never been to VB.

1. How much of the ocean do we really see? Is it really a nice view or are we going to see a little tiny view of the ocean?

2. What should we do there (dd's and me when our husbands/dad go fishing)

3. Any good restaurants? Should we arrange Thanksgiving dinner at a restaurant at the resort or elsewhere? Any other nice places to eat in the area? (we're not gourmet eaters, things like Red Lobster are fine for us)

4. Any good shopping for the girls?
