We were at Walt Disney World this past week. Just got home from a long and very eventful drive from Disney.

We found out during our trip that they were doing one preview Show of Lights...Motors...Action while were there. The show was wonderful. I thought it was a very cool and well put together show. I took some pictures and I am uploading them to my website as I type this. I was told the show was actually not in its final form. They said also some shows could vary when its open, certain scenes and stunts might only be in the show on certain days. But any questions, please ask them. I dont want to type something people might not want to hear and have it spoiled for them.

Overall, we had a good trip at the World! Not one of our best trips though. Not disneys fault. I woke up tuesday with a pretty bad cold. Once I got some dayquil the next day I felt much better. When visiting my grandparents for dinner Wednesday my poor sister cut her leg open pretty good and had to get 4 stictches. She didnt seem to care much. Then rest of the week it stormed and rained. Anyways its ok, because we are going back in June/July for a fun and special trip!

I will post when the pictures are up!

Matt

Sorry about you and your sis  . Can't wait to see your pictures! I'm really looking forward to this show. I know DS is going to love it!

Luckily it looks like I am starting to feel better now, which is good. Just in time to get back to school! lol Your family will love the show I am sure.

Here is the direct link to my websites Photo Gallery page of Lights...Motors...Action:
http://www.travelmania.webplanethost.com/Travel_Mania_Gallery/categories.php?cat_id=12

If that doesnt work you can try going to home page of gallery by deleting everything in the url after /travel_mania_gallery

After looking the stunt show pictures there are other cool pictures from our trip. Some very cool safari pictures and also updated pictures of Expedition Everest. Hope you enjoy.

Later,
Matt

I enjoyed looking at your pictures (I peeked at all of your other ones too).

How long is the stunt show? I looks really cool.

Thanks for sharing your pictures! We're looking forward to seeing this ourselves... in a couple of months. :)

Thanks for sharing your pics, we are looking forward to seeing this show on our next trip! :)

How did you find out that they were going to have the show? Did you just go over or did Cast Members make you aware that it was showing?

The grand opening isn't until May 5th. However, they started last week with "dress rehearsals". We tried to see it last Monday or Tuesday, and it was only the third show ever. They herded about 3000 people into an area under the grandstands, and made us stand there for over an hour without explaining anything to us.

A show that opened for Fast Pass at 2:15 and was supposed to start at 2:45, still hadn't begun when we finally left at 3:40. In typical Disney fashion, we heard a lot of "please make sure you come back", and "are you sure you want to go, it's a great show". I had to be somewhere to meet DH, and my son was tired of waiting. I never did hear when the engines started, so I don't even know if/when the show went on.

Those things happen during previews. Thats all it was, was a preview, no guarantee there was even going to be a show that day, so we should be lucky they held shows this week. I saw the show on Tuesday. Posted time of a 3:00 start. I believe it began around 3:15-3:20. Thats what previews are for, to get the attraction in tight shape so that come opening day, things can run as smooth as possible.

thanks for posting your pictures. dh and i went to dlp last year and we loved it. from your pictures it looks like exactly the same show - even the set looks identical. :) thanks for posting.

 I have been waiting for these pics from someone! Thank you for posting them, they made my day :) Let me ask you, did you find out about the previews from a message board (like I had seen for Philharmagic), or did you ask CMs? Do you think the resorts would know each day?

I ask these questions because we will be there in 27 days (yipee! :jumping1: ) and I really want to see this show if possible. We only planned on doing a 1/2 day at MGM and I would hate to miss it. I really don't want to have to go to MGM "hoping" we would be able to see it, only to be turned away. This actually happened during Philharmagic. We were told at the message board that they would be doing previews that day, throughout the day. We ventured over there one afternoon and people were in line. We waited with them for 45 mins only to be told it wasn't going to run that day. :confused3 I know it happens, but I would rather it not :cool1:

I've been curious about noise from this attraction. Is it something you can hear throughout the Studio?

We just returned from WDW yesterday. Last Sunday we went to MGM because I read on these boards that LMA was going to have a soft opening that day, they did (they started on Saturday). We had fast passes (they hand them out) for the 12:45 show (we needed to show up by 12:15) but the show didn't end up starting until around 2:00. They did put us under the grandstands for a long time, to get us out of the heat and sun. They aren't running the "full show" yet but it was worth the wait. The only complaint I have is, right now, they are taking to long between stunts. The show ran about 1 hour and like I said, it wasn't the full show.

LoveMickey ~ The CM were telling people to pick up fast passes the 2 days we went to MGM.

OKW Lover ~ You can't hear the noise throughout the studio although it is pretty loud in the show.

Thanks for sharing your pics. Looks like a show not to be missed. We will be watching it later this year.

We saw LIghts, Motors last Wed 3/16. It was a great show! My two DSs loved it and taped it. It was scheduled for 3:00 and started pretty shortly thereafter. It was a bit long; one stunt did not go as planned but they showed us video of how they wanted it to look. The stadium is huge - it holds 5000 people!

We came upon it accidentally....we were on our way to Backlot Tour and when I saw the crowd, I told the kids...we gotta do this! We were lucky to get in; there were enough fastpasses seated to fill about 80% of the stadium.

Also, I was asked by a Disney researcher earlier in the day at the entry gate if we came to the park for a specific purpose; I said no...it was just part of the week's schedule. They're going to email a survey to me so now I can be part of their LMA show responses (I hope)!

Sounds fabulous! Question . . . is the seating covered at all or are people sitting in full sun? During the summer that could be beyond miserable if they are!

We were at MGM on March 15th for Early Opening. They announced at the gate that a limited number of FastPasses would be available for the 3:00 preview. Later in the morning when we got FastPasses for ToT, a special note printed at the bottom of the FastPass giving the info about LMA.

We didn't get to see it - thanks for the review & pics.

The vast majority of the stadium was covered and there were huge fans blowing too. If you attended a morning show though, I think you'd be sitting in the sun. At 3:00, it was behind us.

I have a question - which is better, the new stunt show or Indiana Jones? I have an 8 year old who would probably love both but we will only have time to see one show. We will be at MGM May 22 (also first Star Wars weekend so he will be in HEAVEN!!) Thanks!
