This hasn't been the best year for me. Lots of little health problems that are making me feel older than I want to feel. In addition our big trip of the year - a week at Boardwalk with my in-laws didn't go as planned and left me feeling even more down.
Luckily I have a wonderful DH and we both had a few vacation days left. The solution (proposed by DH who rarely does any of the planning) was a short trip to Disney to experience the holiday magic.
We were out of DVC points for the year (and next years points are already planned for) so we used Dreams and booked a Disney package at Coronado Springs. I'll go into details about the room on the resort board - but it suited us well for a quick stay.
Our three days were filled with the wonder of Disney at holiday time. I cried at the end of the Candlelight Processional (I always find that very emotional) due to the beauty and the message of the performance.
I laughed watching the parade come down Main Street the night of the MVMCP, especially at Stitch stealing the scene from Santa.
I just walked in wonder down the backlot streets looking at Osborne lights.
Most of all I took in how lucky I am to be able to experience these sights and sounds and how truily lucky I am to have the DH I do who suggested this quick fix.
Now that we are back home I still have the usual things facing me (laundry, bills, work, etc.) but I know I can tackle them easier and look back on our magical time.
I know that many who read this particular board have also not had the best of years and have problems much bigger than mine that can't be fixed in this manner. To you I send wishes of hope and pixie dust that 2003 will be much better.
To all of you - best wishes for the Holiday Season and may you find the magic I found this past weekend at Disney!
