Got the DAS... how do I use it??

DD28 and I leave for WDW in 36 hours!! She has a DAS, but I'm not 100% sure how to reserve our spot in line. I don't even have a smart phone, but she does, an iPhone that's only a year old. Can we sign up for a waiting spot online, or do we have to go to the attraction and talk to a CM? Reservations are in my name, but she had to go thru her MDE account to get the DAS. Will she need to go TO the attraction to sign up, or is there an app or something that she can use? Can someone walk me thru this (in words of one syllable, please)?

Once you&she enter a park, she’ll see the DAS tile. She can tap that to get a DAS Return Time without going directly to the attraction. She probably also has some attractions pre-booked if she did the video call to register for DAS.

There are 4 ways to reserve your spot in line.
1. Walk to an attraction ask for them to give you a return time
2. Walk to a blue umbrella station and tell the cast member the attraction that you would like a return time for.
3. Walk to guest relations and tell the cast member the attraction that you would like a return time for.
4. Use the My Disney Experience (MDE) iPhone or Android Phone app

As @lanejudy stated the DAS tile will show up in the MDE app after you both have entered the park, which then you will be able to select a show or attraction with a return time.

Remember you do not have to return at that time exactly. We have had to leave the park several times and come back as people were getting grumpy and needed their naps. When people were refreshed the return time was still valid. Just note that you can not reserve a second show/attraction until you have scanned in at the check points.

Guest relations will not always give return out. So I would not count on them and the line can be long
