I've read a lot of nice reviews on this hotel but still have a few questions: (There's 5 of us and we're all considered adults now that our 3 sons will all be over 17 when we go this June)

1. Is there a big price difference between a studio suite and the bedroom suite. I can't seem to ever pull up a price for the bedroom suite. :confused3

2. When I put in 5 adults and am given a certain rate from their site will the hotel still charge an extra fee for more than 2 adults?

3. Are there towels at the pool or do we bring our own?

4. How deep is the pool?

5. We will be going in June. Just how crowded does the pool area get?

6. Does the hotel charge for parking?

7 What exactly is Old Town??

Thanks! :earsboy:

I'll try and answer some of your questions...

I believe that the bedroom suite and studio suite are the same thing. We have stayed there multiple times and always had the same room layout - 2 dbl/queen (not sure which) and a sleeper sofa. There is also a small table to eat at and a very small kitchen area with microwave, coffee maker and minifrig. The breakfast buffet that they serve downstairs is pretty daggone good...not just your typical donuts and coffee.

I think there were towels in the pool area, but am not 100% sure on this. The pool has multiple depths - you walk down the steps and it is about 3 ft I'd say and the other end is about 5 ft. There is also a hot tub. The pool can be a bit crowded, but it really just depends on what time you are there and the weather. I'd say in June it will be pretty crowded.

There is no charge for parking and there is plenty of it.

Old Town is an area in town where there are amusements and old car shows. We have never been to Old Town.

All in all, it is a great place to stay, and we return there trip after trip for a couple of days to extend our stay a bit longer than the 7 days we get with our timeshare.

Thanks Sue. Maybe then the bedroom suite is the studio suite. I'll probably have to call them about that.

Their breakfast does sound pretty good! :)

One more thing - I'm not sure if you have booked your room yet, but Choice Hotels has a lowest internet rate guarantee. That means if you find a lower rate anywhere else on the internet than what they advertise on their site, then they will honor that rate minus an additional 10%. You first make your ressie through the Choice website, then submit the lower rate via a form on their site.

I have had excellent luck in the past finding lower rates at hotelmartusa.com and they have always honored the lower rate.

Good luck!

The curiosity got the best of me so I went and checked on rates - for a 3 day period starting June 16th (random date) hotelmart had a $77 rate, where the choice site was advertising $89.99 as their standard rate. You would end up taking 10% off the $77

Definitely worth a shot.

Sue, do you know if they would charge more on top of that $77 rate since my sons are all considered adults?

I'm really not sure if they will charge beyond the $77 for 5 adults. You can always give it a shot and if it doesn't fly, then cancel it.

Yesterday I called the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista. I was told the rooms are set up for 5 people and there is no extra charge for extra adults. Maybe it is the same since it is the same chain.
