got out tickets today/ problem

We are flying out on the 23rd october with bmi then changing at washington dulles onto united airlines. when i booked this holiday iwas told and received the paperwork that states that we would arrive at orlando int at 9.30pm.
my tickets and new paperwork states that we arrive at orlando int at 23.49pm.
well i'm not happy.
my car voucher states the pick up time for the car at orlando int as 9.30 pm.
Where do i stand on this??
can they change the flight time, with out informing me.
I need to know if any one can help me as i will be phoning them in the morning and need to know where i stand...

Netty, unfortunately, airlines CAN change their times and frequently do. I have heard internal flights in the States are very prone to this, and there really isnt much you can do about. I have read several posts from people whose connecting flights have been brought FORWARD, giving them less than an hour to clear immigration and board the next flight. I know its not much of a consolation, but you are probably better off with your situation, than with the worse scenario of possibly missing your connection.

If you skim through the small print of any airline you will see it in black and white that they ARE able to change the flight times without notice. Did you book direct or with a Travel Agent? If you used a TA, then you may have some comeback if they failed to inform you of a "change" to your booking.

I would get in touch with your Car Rental company by fax or telephone to confirm that the desk will be manned on your arrival. I think most of the big ones like Dollar and Alamo are manned until the last flight of the day lands.

just been on uniteds website and they have an earlier connecting flight than the one they want to stick us on. arriving at mco at 7.55pm
will be on the phone to phileas fogg first thing.
If they cant help i am seriously considering cancelling and re-booking with another airline.

The update on this so far is...
the company will be phoning me tomorrow after they have spoken to united airlines.
As it is a huge inconvenience to us, they are trying to see what they can do.
It looks like we will have to cancel the discovery cove dolphin swim,which was for the following day.
The car pick up was for 9.30 but they have also failed to change the time on that, and alamo office is closed when we land, so no car.
On a happier note, reading nats post on getting the suitcases out the loft... we are doing this today, and im now ironing and sorting out all the clothes to pack!!

its seems however long we plan these trips ( nearly 2yrs in our case) something crops up that you couldnt forsee !! we have had to change our dolphin swim from bahamas to miami because of the hurricane damage and that meant we couldnt make the ps for crt that i spent so long planning:rolleyes:
at least we will have a fantastic holiday and loads of tales to tell when we come home,and then i can start planning the next trip:D

dont wory about the car pick up as they are 24 hours and you have to give them a time dosent mater if you are early of late as long as when you return it it is before the pick up time or they will charge an extra daywe have had same problems with USair as well they changed one of our conecting airports we were in the air for an extra 2 hours

I have tried to sort all this out, and have phoned the company phileus fogg who we booked with
i asked why we werent informed that our flight had been changed and the answer was "my computer is saying that we sent a letter out to you in august"
:confused: - i never got a letter. These are my options:

If i cancel the booking i will be charged the deposit which is £500.

If i rebook with them, they will just add onto the remaining balance the total of new flights.

If i cancel and book with some one else then i wont receive our money minus £500 for 2-3 weeks.

If i keep the original booking , they will keep a look out to see if any seats become available on a earlier flight.

All i could do then was opt for the last option.
