We got our first Disney Photopass book. I wish I'd done this sooner. It's really nice. We posed for lots of Photopass pics on our last trip. Then I uploaded the ones I thought would work from my camera to the Photopass website.

I probably worked on the page layouts for nearly 20 hours combined over a few weeks. I ordered the book and it came in today. It's really nice bound book of 20 pages a combination of my photos and Photopass pics for around $80. My Disney Rewards balance paid for all of it except for $0.40 !! We didn't spend all of our Disney Rewards while we were there, go figure !!

I like my book. I wonder if anyone else has one and what they think of it.

I'm really glad that you are so happy with your book. I'm assuming that this is the same book that comes with the current 'free dining' package, and am really looking forward to making my own when we get home!:thumbsup2

I'm glad to read that you are pleased with it. I am working on my Photopass book right now. In the past, I've ordered the cd with all the photos and did books on Shutterfly. This time, I forgot to pre-order the cd (would have saved $50) and so in the end it will be a savings to do the Disney book rather than buy the cd ($150) and then do a Shutterfly ($40-$60). I usually don't use the cd to make many prints anyway.

One thing I was wondering about though ...

On the Photopass website, you can add graphics to the photos. Great if you want to order prints, BUT, you can't use those graphics on the photopass photos in the BOOK. What's with that? I find that a bit odd. :confused3

I am happy to have the fun stickers/graphics to add to frames within the book though. I just think it's weird that you can't use the other graphics too. Know what I mean?? :goodvibes

Better get back to it ... it does take a lot of time!:wizard:

I LOVE the photopass book. We have opted to make books in lieu of buying the photopass for the last two years and this year we get it free (plus the additional pages that I always end up needing.) Unless something has changed with their format, you can use the photos with graphics. You just need to make and save them in the photopass site and then you can use them in the book. We did this with Halloween etc. borders 2 years ago and they came out great. Last year their were so many more options with stickers and frames that I had to extend 3 times to get it done.

I am so glad I came across this thread. I have been going back and forth about pre-ordering the photo pass cd; but then I wonder if it would be somewhat of a waste to buy the cd? My concern is that we may end up printing only a dozen or so of our favorites from the cd since we will be taking a lot of photos with our own personal camera and not do much else with the cd.
I did a Shutterfly photo book for a trip we did last summer and I find that we look at that more frequently than we do the prints in our regular photo albums. I also think having a Disney themed photobook would be nice. Any suggestions? Thank you.

I would be very interested in the Disney photo book when I go next summer. How do you order the pass or whatever for the photographs?

Just stop at the first photographer you see and they will take your pics and give you a card to collect pics on for your trip. Be sure to record or take a pic with your phone of the # on the card so if it gets lost, you can retrieve the pics when you get home. The Photopass site is very user friendly.

I purchased the photo pass CD before we left on vacation last December. It is really worth it. The only thing I would change is to spend the time editing some of the pics with the graphics they offer. I was in too much of a hurry and didn't know they also included those on the cd. Will do that again for our next trip. I did order the disney photo album. I liked how it came out. However, next time I will take the photo cd and do my own digital scrapbook and order via Shutterfly or Snapfish. This way I'll have more control of the items on each page. LOVED it and all of the possibilities.
