Got an Upgrade!

We are cruising on January 22nd, Eastern Magic.

Booked a category eight, initially given guarantee status and then about two weeks ago assigned a cabin number. Waiting patiently on documents to arrive (booked onboard and then transferred to AAA). Got a call from DCL today and we are upgraded to a category five!! The call was to make sure we change the cabin numbers on the luggage tags.

This is such a surprise (this will be our fifth cruise). Always cruised with a balcony but this time we were on a tighter budget and booked the category eight. Would have been happy with the category eight, or just happy to be on the boat, but this is making my vacation feel like its' already started. Can't wait to tell dh.

Okay I have to know how I can get a countdown for my next Disney vacation....I look at all of your countdown clocks and I can't figure out how I go about setting one up for myself. Please help me! remember I'm new at this and fairly computer illiterate

Do a search for countdown clocks, I just put that question to the board and it was answered about 3 days ago. I would tell you myself, but someone gave me the exact address to go to. It was confusing though. If you find it and can't figure it out conctact me and I'll help if I can. It took me a few times to get it right.

Congrats on the upgrade. Maybe we'll get lucky on our Wonder cruise next month. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

We too received an upgrade from a Cat. 8 to a Cat.5, staying on Deck 7, for the Wonder 1/16. We were bumped up to 7132, which is one of the solid walled verandahs aft, so I was curious where you got bumped, plexiglass or solid wall? Either way, an upgrade does make it special. Congrats.

In the future, if you again have a budget issue that makes you look into skipping a verandah, go for the 8 again--we've always done 8's and love them.
