Got a decent rate with Travelocity and Thrifty

Hi everyone - I was just checking on rental cars to see if any great deals were out there even though I'd already booked our car through Alamo. Well through Travelocity and Thrifty I got the same standard SUV for 11 days for 457.00. It saves me $200 off of the original Alamo car! I just haven't used Thrifty before, has anyone had any bad experiences - should I be wary?? Thanks!

That doesn't sound too bad. I haven't rented through Thrifty. I was wondering if you could tell me your dates and where you are getting the car (MCO)? We are looking for a 10 day rental, it could even be a smaller car, but the rates are pretty high for late August. Did you use any other codes or promotions? Thanks.

Hi there, I know I thought it was pretty good too considering the lowest rate that I had gotten was 637. My dates are 7/8-7/19 and I actually even then changed it to an intermediate SUV (Ford Escape size) for 385! For 11 days, not bad!!! I didn't use a code, just went to the travelocity site and plugged in the dates. Weird that Thrifty was so much cheaper for the SUV. Hope I don't regret it!

My rates for a compact size were $741 through Travelocity and Thrifity for ten days in August! Ha! It's almost funny! I will keep waiting and checking the boards! Thanks...have a wonderful vacation!

Thanks. I did the Amex search and I got a better with some other agencies, National was $361 for economy. Not great, but getting better. I notice that a lot of these codes expire in late June. I am really really hoping that some better deals come out for August.
