I just made ressies for the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues for July 11th. I was happy to find out there were two times to choose from...10:30 and 1. I chose the 10:30, and was told they gave me a good table. I had to call the place directly and order non-refundable tickets. I had no idea it was different than regular Disney PSs.
For the 4 of us, it was $131, and we pick up the tickets at the HOB box office before the brunch.

Just thought someone might find this information useful!

THanks for that, the CM I talked to just gave me a PS. I didn't think it sounded right. I'm going to call in the morning to get my ressie for August. :)

Does anyone know for sure if the gospel brunch can be booked using PS?

Thanks

I called (407)WDW-DINE, which is the regular PS number, and they connected me to the HOB number. It's not done through the regular Disney PS system, because you have to actually buy tickets to the HOB brunch. It was easy to book, but it's non-refundable, so it's not a PS. but a real reservation.
Can't wait! I want to praise the Lord at WDW!

wow! i was just trying to figure out how to attend Sunday worship while at wdw 'cause we will not have a car... and i decided to worry about it tomorrow and next thing i know i stumble across this post (God is good!)...

i would love to hear more about the Gospel Brunch since this is the first i've ever heard of it! also, does wdw hold any denomination of worship service on property?

You could have "too good" of a seat. We made reservations very early and were seated in front of the stage with a HUGE speaker next to our table...it was very loud. We enjoyed the music and the buffet was actually quite good and we are not "buffet people"...try to avoid them at all times. I honestly think would have enjoyed it much more about center stage and back a couple of tables. I don't hear of a lot of folks making repeat visits to the Gospel Brunch...do any of you go back. We enjoyed it , but once is probably enough for us.

gigi1313 - I have been to the HOB Gospel brunch, and I enjoyed it, but it is not a church service as such. Food is good, southern fare, music is good also. I enjoyed it, but I didn't feel as if I had been to church. Just thought you might want to know this. At one time, there was a worship service at the Polynesian on Sunday mornings, but I am not sure if this still takes place. Maybe someone else knows for sure?

There used to be services at the Poly, but not anymore.

For the HOB Gospel brunch, several friends of mine have gone, and they liked it very much. Maybe they were lucky those days, but people were really feeling the Spirit, with hands raised and singing out loud. But it wasn't an out-of-control tent revival LOL! Just being surrounded by like-minded people singing praises to God while enjoying breakfast is something I want to experience at WDW.
Hopefully I won't be put by the speakers. My friend's DH actually went onstage with the singers, because they saw his enthusiasm and invited him, and others, to come if if they felt moved.

I'm the type that get get right into the church/praising mood as soon as I hear any Christian/Gospel music, and I'm so looking forward to it!

We went to the house of blues about 5 years ago for the gospel brunch and we are going back again this year. We've been several times in between to WDW, but this will be our first trip back to HOB. We did have a great time but what the other poster mentioned about the speakers is certainly true. EXPECIALLY if you have small children in teh group!!

Have a great time!

i'm thinking we'll wing it... if the Spirit moves us to head to HOB for Gospel brunch that Sunday morning, we'll call and see if we can get a table... if not, we'll be doing EMH at MK ;)

i am very disappointed to hear that disney discontinued Sunday worship services... i was considering that (i found the times in an old guidebook that i took from the library) and the brunch or service and breakfast at 'ohana... but again, i guess we'll head to MK for EMH! oh, well...

Just as a note if you are seated right next to a speaker and don't want to be you should be able to move to the upstairs area.

Mom & I went a couple years ago and were right in front next to the stage next to the large speaker. I don't like real loud noise so we checked to see about moving elsewhere and they were great and said we could go to the upstairs section. It was much more comfortable for me and we had a great view looking down at the stage. It was still plenty loud enough there...I could have never enjoyed it if we had stayed in our original seats.

We were able to continue our eating upstairs and there are rest rooms and an elevator to get you there so it was great.
