Ok can I have a show of hands how many people here use Google Earth? http://earth.google.com/ Ok now how many of you use it with the Panoramio layer turned on where you can view user uploaded pictures? http://www.panoramio.com/

There are only 6 Pics of Fort Wilderness on Google Earth from people using Panoramio and only one pic of a camp site and its one that I uploaded. I think it would be very cool if all of us Disers uploaded some of our site pics to Panoramio and linked them to the loops.

Let me know what you think of this.

I use google earth all the time. I always look at the pictures to. I have not thought of posting but it is a good idea. Eventually we can get pics of all the sites on there lol

I use Google for all the places we camp. I have looked at the Fort pictures.

We have to correct this gross oversight.

Believe it or not, I was looking at FW yesterday afternoon on Google earth. I saw your picture there and thought how cool that was. I have never posted any pictures, but it is a great idea.:thumbsup2

Yea, Live Maps are better as far as getting recent aerial multi angle shots. I use it as my main research tool for maps of the Fort.

However, I really enjoy the photo add on for Google Earth, it really would be awesome if we could eventually upload pictures of every site. What a great tool that would be!! No more asking what sites look like, just go take a look for yourself!

Although, I am also interested to see if they are doing any of the 3d Building mapping and/or Street View on Google Earth like they are doing on the rest of Disney. Right now they only have the Swan/Dolphin/Italy in Epcot up and modeled, but it's supposed to be the whole park and every resort. If they do Street View for the entire Fort, wow, that is going to be awesome!
