We're booked for a 3-night Dream cruise and plan to stay on the ship when it goes to Nassau. Has anyone done the Sports Simulator? Only the 60-minute package is available to book online. Is it worth it? Would a 9 year old boy enjoy something like this? Also - would I also have to purchase a reservation or would my DH and I be able to just watch him?

My 12 year old did it twice earlier this month on Fantasy. He had an awesome time. (We reserved one 30 minutes session and then managed to book another onboard after he enjoyed the first one.)

You have a whole selection of different games to play (baseball, basketball, football, hockey, "carnival games", cricket, etc.) For example, on the football you can do a 2 minute drill passing game, you can kick field goals, etc. One side just has the games, the other side has the games as well as golf.

The fee is for the time slot, and it does not matter how many people are playing (even though I only saw one and two player games, so people would have to take turns). So the 2nd time around, although I had only signed up my son, he played solo a few things and then we also played a few things together.

Grab the 60 minute slot; you'll love it.

Thank you so much for your feedback! It's very helpful. It's our first Disney cruise and with it only being 3 days, I didn't want to reserve and pay money for something that may not be worth it. We're going in February and in case the weather is too chilly for the pool, I wanted to have other options for activities.

If you're still not sure, the simulators are usually available to try for free before sailaway on the first afternoon of a cruise.

DH and I are seniors and we booked a 30 minute session on port day. It was fun. You could play alone
or one of the sports on the list two could play.
