Goofy's Sky School accepts first class on June 3

I was hoping they would change the track somewhat. That ride gave me bruises it was so jerky.

Can someone describe this for me? I really can't get a feel for it from the pictures. I keep thinking of the Primeval Whirl at AK in WDW. Is that what this is like?

Looks like Primeval Whirl without the spinning? There's a video in the OP's link.

This is mostly correct in that they are both wild mouse style coasters and PW spins, GSS does not. They are designed by the same company but don't have the same exact track layout.

Oh man....another one we will just miss....hoping for more soft openings!!

The funny thing is that on RideMax, you can have GSS as one of your options on May 25th. Wishful thinking? :rotfl:

Well unlike the OC thoughts, that is when Disney has it dropping off the refurb list.

Yep and it's a hold over from the Eisner era of doing things on the cheap to just get by. While this version doesn't spin, it's the same ride as you find all over America's theme parks, including Disney. Six Flags Great America in Chicago actually has two of these lame coasters. One is the spinning version called Ragin Cajun and the other one is the non spinng type called the Dark Knight and is housed inside. All of them are jerky and there's nothing to disguise the fact that you're on a generic, typical off the shelf ride. Sadly all Disney is doing is adding some paint, a few clouds, and some theming to the outside area. A lot of fans, including me, were hoping for more than what was done. :sad2:

My kids like it well enough ~ I tolerate it *ride with my eyes closed* we will always ride SR once it reopens.

I think it's less rough than Primevil Whirl -- which I refuse to ride. I will ride this one a time or two as DD loves it. Then I send her through by herself. I really don't enjoy the height on this one -- you're not going fast enough and you can clearly see how high you are. Give me a roller coaster anyday over this!

the mulholland maddness ride was...okay. I was hoping that the new ride would be A LOT better. It looks basically the same... but I am def willing to give it a try! Who knows...maybe that one little difference will do the trick! :)

It will be interesting to see if this ride still beats the crap out of my knees.

Be prepared for the sore knees because I can't see paint or the addition of water tower and new entrance softening the ride.;)

One thing that I find interesting with this coaster that I don't notice in other coasters...

...most coasters will lean when they turn, so if they turn to the right, they lean to the right. Mulholland Madness doesn't so this, so with the sharp turns it can seem like it's going to fall off the track (obviously it doesn't).

I luckily never had the knee problem, but I can definitely see how that is possible. I hated the really fast jerky stop at the end.. and to imagine your knees hitting in front of you...ouchhhh.
