Yay! Thanks so much for reporting back to me/us about Goofy's!!

I am glad you liked the food (it IS a good selection, isn't it?) but that is really too bad about the character interaction, and I am beginning to wonder if this is a new trend at Goofy's. In the past, it seemed like it was hit or miss, where some days the characters were really attentive and on their game, and other days they weren't (in my experience they have always been good, but I am talking in general, from what other guests have reported). And that seems to be the case with most character meals - some days the characters are on the ball and other days they are not.
However, lately - and you are not the first person to say this about the Goofy's character interaction in just the last week - more reports are coming in that the recent character interaction has been lacking, which makes me think it is becoming the norm and not a fluke. Someone else just posted this same thing a few days ago. It makes me wonder if there is a new 'crew' on duty underneath those costumes at Goofy's and this new crew doesn't care as much or doesn't know to pay lots of attention. There have been a couple of times where we had one chipmunk on our side of the restaurant and the other one was on the other side, but that made sense to me because they had to have both sides covered. I hope they are not letting the character interaction slip. They may need to have a chat with the ones on duty!
I plan to go to Goofy's when I go on my birthday to get my Fun Card in July, and I am going to keep an eye on those characters! If they are slacking off, I am going to tell the manager that I have championed their restaurant to many friends and DIS'ers and have eaten there myself for 17 years, and people are starting to become increasingly and consistently dissatisfied so they need to get on the ball!
