I've been to Goofy's Kitchen once, this past May. We loved it. We have company coming to visit over Labor Day weekend, and they have a 3 year old boy. I've heard Storytellers Character Breakfast is fabulous. I thought Goofy's Kitchen was pretty good, is Storytellers better?

We like food variety, and loved the omelette bar, etc at Goofy's. Does Storytellers have all that variety as well? I know Storytellers has animal character theme, are they as interactive as they are at Goofy's?

Please give me your thoughts! I want to book reservations ASAP.

Thank you!

Food at Storyteller's is WAY better. That said, the characters all more obscure, woodland creatures. My kids loved it there, but if they are looking for more popular characters, I'd stick to Goofy's.

ETA: We had better interaction at Storyteller's, but if I remember correctly, we had at least one character who couldn't sign.

I'd rather have better food I think! Does Storytellers have the fancy potatoes and omelette bar?

Food quality is better at Storytellers, but variety is better Goofys. Both have omelet bars. Interaction with characters was slightly better at Storytellers, but characters at Goofy's were better known.

Do storytellers!! We were there 4 months ago our 3 year old boy and did both character breakfasts. By far the best experience with kids is storytellers, the characters you see are less recognizable but besides goofy at goofy kitchen my son didn't recognize anyone else either (ie the mad hatter). The atmosphere of storyteller is so much fun!!! Seeing my son light up because chip and dale are walking him around the restaurant just for fun is priceless. or the line dance all the characters and "forest ranger" take all the kids on! They played music and came around to all the tables to collect kids and got them in a follow the leader type line then brought them tothe middle in front of the restaurant. They then danced together in a big circle, the park ranger leader helped my son with it because he was a little behind. It's one of the most fun things we did our whole trip. Would love to do it again! Bring a video camera! Goofus kitchen atmosphere was SO disappointing to us after doing storytellers the day before. There was no energy, nothing fun going on, and the characters barely spent any time with us.

I think GK is the more traditional character breakfast, but SC is a superior experience in almost every way. That being said, if you enjoyed GK then maybe you're best off sticking with that because only you know you and your friends, and what you're all really looking for.

I agree with the general sentiment that Storyteller's has better food and that GK has more well-known characters (and a more food options in general). However, I do not think that the food at Storyteller's is that much better than GK. Both have middling food quality imho (an opinion which is colored by the fact that I live in Las Vegas, where high quality buffets are easily accessible) and Storyteller's is just a small step above GK.

I have a 3 year old DD and will generally go with GK for the more well-known characters. But if the characters did not matter to me at all, I would go with Storyteller's.

I definitely preferred the food at Storyteller's, but liked the character selection at Goofy's better.

We booked GK again, but sort of wishing I would have went with Storytellers if the food is better!

So when did they stop doing all of the fun stuff at Goofy's? When my kids were younger they loved playing music with pots and pans and doing the Macarena with Goofy.

Goofy's Kitchen - Are the characters there only for breakfast? We have a dinner reservation, but if characters are not there we'll change it.
Thanks! :)
