Going to try Goofy's Kitchen this next trip for the first time. When is the best time to go to see the most characters? Is there a shift change that occurs that one could time between in order to see both shifts for example? While I'm at it, what characters have been seen there recently?

Well, first of all, I wouldn't get to Goofy's right when at opens at 7:00 a.m., and I wouldn't go too close to when it closes. During busy times of year or on weekends, GK closes at 2:00 p.m., but basically that means the guests can stay until that time to finish eating, but they stop putting ut new food and characters stop coming in before that. Other days like weekdays or less busy times of year, GK closes at noon or 1:00 p.m., I think. So again, that means people may be able to stay and eat until noon/1:00 p.m., but they probably stop putting out fresh food and the characters stop arriving an hour before that. My guess is that the best time for characters is probably somewhere in the 8:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. range. I usually go when it first opens because that si the time I prefer, but the characters literally kind of trickle in as the morning progresses. Last December, we got there at 7:00 a.m., and Goofy & Baloo were there to greet us as we walked in. As we were eating, Pluto showed up to pose for photos at the entry way and Chip and Dale came in. Then, closer to the last half hour of our meal (we were there pretty much the full 90 minutes you are allowed), Jasmine, Aurora and Prince Phillip came in too. So you may have a good 5 characters there for a while (including whoever is doing 'door duty') and then others may show up as you eat. The regular 5 that I ALWAYS see at GK are: Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Baloo. Then, there is a rotating cast of guest stars which could any combination of Minnie, Jasmine, Aladdin, the Genie, Aurora, Prince Phillip, Belle, Snow White, Alice and the Mad Hatter, Captain Hook, Max, Cinderella, etc. You never know exactly who will be there at which times.

Thanks for the advice Sherry! We are hoping to see Mulan, Peter Pan, or Wendy as these characters we never seem to run into (went to PFF and saw 6 Princesses, and ran into Pocahontas later, but can't seem to find Mulan). We won't be arriving first thing, but 8:30 sounds like a good time.

Sounds like Mulan, Wendy and Peter are just the luck of the draw at different Character dining experiences. We usually do Minnie's but my son has been dying to go to Goofy's so we are definitely doing it this time, and hope to see one of those three there, but if not, just trying to maximize the number of characters. Thanks for the insight and advice!
