Goofygal's May 23rd Magical Cruise to Tortola

I thought I would start a bit early on our trip report. This will be a second Disney Cruise for me and my ds. We did the Wonder 4 night on 5/15/05! I met DH the following month after that cruise, and we have been wanting to take a cruise together ever since!! This will be his first cruise, and a first 7 night cruise for ds and I.

We have 20 days left to go until we are on the cruise.

I plan on doing a "LIVE from the Cruise" trip report, along with "LIVE from SSR" for the week after the cruise!! I write pretty detailed reports, and always include LOTS of pictures!!!

What made you choose Tortola? I am thinking of going there also on our next 7 day. Are you planning excursions? I love your wedding picture,BTW! I met my DH when my DS was 4. We had our Happily Ever After too and just renewed our vows last Sept after 10 years.

We ended up on the Tortola crusie by luck. We picked a date that worked for us and it had a stop in tortola. We have the dolphin encounter booked for that day. We wanted to explore more around the island, but really wanted to do the dolphin encounter.

Thanks, we were supposed to get married at Disney, but changed our date so dad could give me away at home. So we still had to have a bit of Disney on the cake! You're lucky you met your DH when your ds was 4. That's a great age.

Two weeks from now we'll be in Orlando getting ready for the cruise!!

I read your plan. You are so organized! I think it's great how you have planned to save in order to put money towards other things. I wish I was so disciplined. Don't worry about the insulin thing. It is most important that you are healthy. High sugars can be really dangerous.If you can coordinate and plan a trip like this a little thing like insulin is not going to slow YOU down!
Of course now you will have to post a picture with your cute new hairdo!

Thanks for the insulin pep talk!! It's been a few days and so far I'm doing pretty good. My blood sugars seem to be creeping down little by little. And I am eating much better!!! I really am positive I can maintain that on the cruise (hopefully )

We did some packing this weekend, and Dh did try on his clothes and shoes, we bought some things he needed, and he tried those on as well!! We have 12 days until the cruise!! 10 days until we are in orlando.

We can officially say WE CRUISE NEXT WEEK!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks! We are SOOO excited to be leaving tomorrow!!! I'll be taking mom to dialysis early tomorrow, and getting the guys and we are on the road!!! I can't believe, that with all my planning and packing early, that I still have TONS of things to pack. I have been busy tonight packing little odds and ends things and still have more to do!

Still have to put our FE together...just attatch them to the wodden dowels.

Hey, FINALLY a LIVE trip report!! We are on the magic in Tortola!!! I typed a big post here and it dissappeard...so this is going to be short. My hand is numb and it is very wierd typing that way. We are having a blast, too much fun to be on the internet...LOL

Here is a email I sent to family and friends:



Hey everyone....we are on the Disney Cruise now!! We are having fun! I just connected to the internet for the first time. Sitting on the couch with the verandah door open. It's great. Ed and I spent some time in the adult pool today, and I got to be out in the sun for awhile. We had brunch at the Adults diner today....BEST meal of the trip so far. Ed and I went to one of the comedy shows last night and it was fun.

Brandon is having a BLAST in the teen club!!! They have something going on at all times and they keep busy!!! Our rule is he needs to have dinner with us...and he wouldn't miss it because he gets to eat steak and mickey bars for dinner every night. He has been going to the shows with us as well. Other than that he has been with the other kids.

Tomorrow is our first stop in a port...TORTOLA where we have a dolphin encounter planned.

We;ve delivered all the Fish Extender gifts, and have been receiving quite a few.

Last night was our Formal dinner and I'm glad we decided to dress up. we got some great pictures.

Well, I just posted a long post here and lost it! Oh my!

Life seemed to get in the way of writing up our trip report, but I am happy to report...that I have started finally!!

I'm finished with day two of the report so far. And of course my trip reports are always FULL of pictures!!!

I still need to scan in all of our Professional Pictures...went to walmart the other day to do so, and it froze up when I was about 3/4 of the way done! Lost them all! UGH...so I need to go back next week. We bought SOOO many pictures!

Hey Lessa!! Yes, I did meet your mom at the pool! She is so nice. Ed and I really enjoyed talking with her that day. We saw her another time or two as well. Sorry we missed talking to you though!! I need to head over and check out your report as well!!!
