Goofy Challenge - 4 days to go

Hi all,

I hope you are all enjoying the snow! Im just concerned that the flight on Thursday will be cancelled also its going to be a fun trip to the airport tomorrow evening........ not

Well training has not really gone to plan but Im going to give it my best shot, due to this rubbish weather I have only been able to use the treadmill at the gym and nowhere near enough miles done in the past four weeks so not sure Im going to break any records

Anyway we will complete the race, we have to!!! a lot of people have put a lot of faith and money in me and the wife finishing this race.

I am going to do a trip report for this so please keep an eye out for it.

Well we have managed to get to the Gatwick Marriot Hotel and actually the roads were ok, lots of snow around but not many cars around

Have just had a meal in the restaurant, it looks like they must have had a few off today as it took an hour to get Olives and bread and then another hour for the main course to arrive

Its not all bad as we managed to get a free round of drinks

I have just gone over to the terminal to see if there was any update on our flight but there was no information, I did feel sorry for everyone from todays cancelled flights still waiting around the terminal for the gates to open in the morning

Well hopefully the flight will be able to take off tomorrow and the next update will be from Saratoga (but still in the cold). Take care everyone!

i'm planning on trying for the goofy in 2011!! (i'm going to hang around in the US after the podcast cruise, just so that i can finally take part in the marathon weekend)
