Hi all,

Beginning to plan for our first Disneyland trip Feb 2019! We have park tickets/FP/mp, and our return flight booked (can’t agree on the flight to LAX yet).

Anyway- I’m just curious is Goofy’s Kitchen the DL version of Chef Mickeys at DW? We went to Chef Mickey about a month ago so I’m just curious if they’re similar/different. I think we’re staying off site so not sure when we will be able to book dining but doing my research now to figure out what days we want to eat where so I’m prepared when it is time to book.

Thanks!

I have been to both my family prefers Goofy's Kitchen over Chef Mickey's. We enjoy the food more and overall it doesn't seem to be as chaotic as Chef Mickeys. As far as characters go, it's pretty much the same. The only character that isn't guaranteed is Mickey. As of at least my experience 3 weeks ago, he was taking pictures before you got seated. Up until a few months ago, he was not featured at Goofy's Kitchen. I don't know if he has been premanently added to the line up or if it is only temporary.

With DL, there is no advantage to staying onsite for booking dining, so you will be able to book at 60 days from the day you want to eat there.

I'm not a big fan of Chef Mickey's, but loved Goofy's Kitchen. It feels more private and less chaotic. Plus, when we went, it wasn't terribly crowded, so we had what felt like extra character interactions.
