I read another thread on the Budget board about this, and someone suggested we try over here.

I am having my fathers 60th birthday dinner @Whispering Canyon. 24 guests, ages ranging from 1 - 83.
I'd like to get a bag for each family (8 families) with some cute things in it, but I'm at a loss.

It's tricky though. 6 of the 24 are kids, 7 of the 24 are not going to the parks at all, they are locals and just coming in for the dinner (so they don't really need park kinda stuff---ya know). Some are a family of 1, some are a family of 4. Some have older kids, some have babies.

I realize I can't please everyone, but I need some ideas to keep everyone happy. Especially the people not heading to the park, and will be heading home right after the dinner.

HELP!!!!!

Do you have a five below store near you? They have a bunch of cute things for kids..tons of Disney stuff there too.

OK, well you weren't very specific--Does each bag have to have at least one item for each member of the family? Is your budget very tight? Is your heart set on Disney-themed items? Is this last minute, as in you need these things tomorrow?

Here are some ideas off the top of my head though:

--nice picture frames (good for the adult locals who are attending); you can get nice ones at Target or Marshall's or Walmart (or Disney ones at a Disney store)

--baseball caps or visors (always useful for park visitors, or people not going to a park)

--for the babies, I would say do a soft plush toy; babies are fine with stuffed animals.

--for the kids, how about those magic towels / magic gloves? They're those things that you put in water and after a moment it expands into a real wash cloth or mitt that they can use in the bath. You can get Disney ones anywhere; my nieces and nephews (who are 3, 4, 5, and 6) LOVE them.

--For Disney stuff, i LOVE to shop here: http://disneyshopping.go.com/webapp...0003&storeId=10052&categoryId=12845&langId=-1

You can find inexpensive stuff for the home (very nice Disney themed beach towels, salt&pepper shakers, etc), apparel (great t shirts, disney flip flops, etc), and all around good stuff for any budget. Assuming, of course, that your party is not in the next 1 or 2 days or something, since you have to have the stuff shipped to you.

Hope that helps!!!

You're right, I wasn't very specific. Sorry!! Yes, budget is tight (thanks to the economy), and I don't need these till Thanksgiving week. I'm not heart set on Disney things, but that would be nice since we're all going to be there. Love the towel idea, kids love those things!!

And I'll be sure to check out the creative board.

thanks for all the ideas!!
