Just read in Deb Wills' newsletter that Food Rocks will be closing to make room for the "Soarin'" attraction going into the Land pavillion. While the attraction sounds cool (based on "Soarin' over California" at DL, which I've heard awesome things about) I thought Food Rocks was cute, albeit dated (my kids only got the songs since I listen to Oldies/classic rock--some kids in there didn't get a lot of the music parody). No word on when this will take place, althought the new ride is scheduled for 2005.

Thats a bummer! My kids love this and its a must do every trip...even though we have it taped at home.
Every once in a while we will hear one of the songs on the radio and my kids faces light up. I know they are thinking exactly what I am, LOL! Just recently at a family party the DJ played the Twist and DS came running over to me yelling "FOOD ROCKS!!!". We will miss it for sure! :(

Food Rocks closing but new attraction sounds good.:wizard:

Believe me you are not getting jipped with this new attraction. Soarin is one of the best if not the best ride Disneyland has, and you all will not be disappointed.

Even though the new attraction sounds awesome I wish the line could be moved over more. I never thought too much of it but on my last trip it was so funpirate: I'll never forget the words "I'm talking about good nutrition, not talking about superstition":( :( :worried: :worried:

I'm glad I'm not the only one who'll miss Food Rocks. I thought I'd be able to see it again by going back in January, but I'm afraid it might close before then. No more Refigerator Police (Every bite you take... every egg you break...)! I just wish I could get the music somewhere- then I'd be able to let go. If anyone knows where I can get the music form this show, I'd be grateful!!!

Soarin' is a great ride, I'm glad it's making its way to DW, because I doubt I'll be going back to DL anytime soon to ride it again. I just wish they could leave Food Rocks there- it's the only thing at Disney that made me laugh till I cried.
