It is good to hear that the cancer is localized. It is not good news about the lack of compassion from his company. But unfortunately that's the way it is these days. Prayers for you, DH, and your family as you go through this tough time. Try to care of yourself too! Take care.

When Dennis doesn't return to work on Nov. 26th, he will be termimnated. Health insurance payments from them will stop. We can continue under COBRA for over $600 per month. The company has the OPTION to rehire him when he is able to return to work. If it is within 3 months of Nov. 26th, he will keep his seniority, pay and vacation/sick time. Nothing like having compassion for an employee.

His short term disabilility benefits will last for 6 months.

I'm sorry, Colleen, but I've been wrapped up in issues of my own and haven't been following what was going on with your DH.. Did he apply for the Family Medical Leave Act? And if so, does it expire on the 26th?

Do you have too many holdings to qualify for Medicaid?

Let me know if there's anything I can do for you.. I've been "dodging bullets" for a long time now and might be able to give you some pointers on getting through those long days and nights..
