we're home from the doctor's office...

my EEG and MRI all came out normal!! nothing out of the ordinary. he still recommends that i take the seizure meds, but he's totally understanding of how i feel about it. we do agree that if i have any more episodes, then i will most definitely take the trileptol. i have to go back in 3 months for a follow up. and assuming i have no more episodes then i should be cleared to drive and not take the meds...i think that's what he said anyway. i will have to have another MRI in 6 months...just to make sure all is still ok. as long as i have my ativan and my clay aiken cd, i'll be just peachy through another one!!

BUT

they did some blood work right after my initial appointment and my ANA's came back pretty high. they were like 1 over 640! the normal is 1 over 80...yikes! so he's referring me now to a rheumotoligist. i guess the high count can be a red flag for lupus. he doesn't think that it's necessarily lupus, seeing as i have no other indications, other than the high ANA. (whatever that may be) so, another blood draw (blech...i hate needles...i'm done with the needles already!!!) and hopefully that will be the end of it!

thanks again everyone for the prayers, pixie dust, good thoughts, and hugs...it's truly helped me through this knowing that i have so many people behind me!! i'll keep you all posted on any changes!!! you guys are the best...
