So of course i leave it until hours before the 40% discount was ending to book our Disneyland Paris package :rolleyes1

When i finally got to the payment screen, i realised i was still in the UK page and it wouldn't let me change my address to Australia... going back and starting again on the Australian page showed a difference of nearly $400 :scared1:

I figured i had not much to lose and called the Reservations line. The lady who answered was a gem. I told her my story, and she simply said 'No problem, so you want to book using the UK residents rate?' :cool1: I was over the moon...

This saved me $400 - i got 3 nights at the Newport Bay Club with the UK rate for the same price as 3 at the Hotel Santa Fe advertised on the Australian page. :thumbsup2

Just goes to show what a difference a phone call can make. Well done to you :cool1:. Would love to hear more about your trip? We are planning on going to DLP in April 2013

 that's a nice little saving for a phone call Congrats on booking:)

This trip is a bit of a surprise trip for us, we weren't planning it even a month ago! My cousin announced he's getting married in London in September, so my husband and i decided we would take a short trip and attend. Of course i managed to wrangle in 3 nights at Disney :thumbsup2 I am thinking about doing a pre-trip report, but definitely will do a Trip Report when we get home - so stay tuned! :goodvibes

Thanks! I know, so glad i called ::yes::

Great getting the 40% off :)

DLP pricing is crazy, they price it differently on all the international sites, the only certainty is that .com site will be the most expensive. ALL the international sites - .ie, .be, .co.uk, etc, almost anything other than .com will have better pricing (use the change your country down the bottom of the page to get to other sites).
Last year, I found through the .ie and .be sites had 50% off for a stay from the Tue, no discount for a stay from the Sunday, and the co.uk site have 40% off for a stay from the Sunday, and 10% off for a stay from the Tue, the .com site had no discounts.
