Can someone recommend WDW restaurants that offer vegetarian (not vegan) meals for kids?

I'll need CS, TS, and buffet recommendations. I know there are links to the menus, but I thought someone here could recommend a few places that their kids liked. We are doing the DDP, and my kids are in the "adult" category. I don't think there are too many veg kids' meals options anyway. I kinda want them to stay away from cheese pizza and a salad all week. ;)

TIA!

:)

My kids aren't vegetarians but I am. Since your kids are "adult" age according to Disney they get to order off the adult menus.

Your greatest resource is going to be the menus at www.allears.net

That's where I have been looking to see what vegetarian options the different places have but it is very limited.

It is gonna be like you said, A LOT of cheese pizzas and salads.

Most of the places we are going to, all I will be eating are the side items that come with regular dinners.

I am a picky eater and am a vegetarian who is very selective and picky about what vegetables I will eat so our trip should be very interesting trying to keep me fed.

Good luck with the kids.

Each TS place has one veggie entree. If they are picky though it can be tough. I went with a veggie who didn't eat mushrooms and many of the entrees can't be changed so if she couldn't get no mushrooms she often ended up with some pasta and steamed veggies. Many places have mac and cheese and cheese pizza on the kids menu and they should allow them to get adult servings of those items too. I think lots of buffets is probably the way to go with some sit downs where you know the veggie entree appeals to them.

I am a vegetarian and I'm always able to find something yummyto eat.

Boma and Tusker House both have buffets that are veggie-friendly.

Columbia Harbor House has vegetarian sandwich with hummus and slaw that is good.

Pirates y perico at MK has good veggie tacos.

Sunshine Seasons in Epcot has lots of good options.

All the TS restaurants have at least one vegetarian option. I have enjoyed meals at Jiko, Cali Grill, Flying Fish (favorite), Tutto Italia, Captains Grill, Coral Reef, and Artist Point.

The only places that I wasn't thrilled with the vegetarian options was Rose and Crown and Sci-Fi.

Hope that helps.

Thanks!

I'll definitely stay away from Rose & Crown. We went there a few years ago and didn't like it all.

I was thinking maybe at Epcot, the Nine Dragons would offer some type of tofu meal, and the restaurant in Mexico would offer something with black beans.

I'll have to sit down with all of the menus and choose. My 180 days is tomorrow!

Do all of the counter service restaurants offer some type of NUTRITIONAL veggie meal?

Thanks!

Not good news - I had read that the vegetarian cottage pie was pretty good so that's why we have booked here as DD would like this. What did you have there that you didnt like?

Our last trip we stayed at AKL and they had a falafel meal, as well as a flat bread. Sunshine Seasons at EP in FW has some great options...as well as all of WS. I loved Morocco's CS when we went. As someone else said, Columbia House has a nice sandwich...other than that I was hard pressed to find anything at MK...and I have never tried the CS at DHS or AK. Have fun!

It was the vegetarian shepherd's pie. Just not what I was expecting. More mushrooms than anything else with a tomato kind of sauce. It wasn't bad....I just didn't love it.

In July, we are going to try La Hacienda at Epcot and Kona Cafe at the Poly for dinner. They have some yummy sounding veggie offerings.

There's tons of vegetarian food at Disney World, and more specifically you mentioned Nine Dragons - they have a sweet and sour cucumber salad and a tofu stir fry on their menu. Like others have said, each TS usually has at least 1 vegetarian entree on the menu so it shouldn't be too difficult to have them accommodated.

My personal favorites are the Tangierine Cafe (counter service). They have a vegetarian platter that has falafel, hummus, tabouleh salad, cous cous and salad. Someone else mentioned Sunshine Seasons and I ate there a lot when I went there last October. I love their black bean salad and cous cous salad. Their grilled veggie sandwich is also good.

Columbia Harbor House for the Lighthouse Sandwich (sooo tasty!) and of course a lot of places also have veggie burgers. I'm not a big pizza fan so thankfully I had a lot of options, still.
