Good sunscreen for the face that wont cause acne ?

Anyone know of a good sunscreen for the face that wont clog pores ? I have a preteen and would like to find something for her. The past trip to Disney she had gotten a few large moles that I think was from the hot sun there. I just want her skin to be safe from the sun this trip and here at home this summer .

If you're willing to buy sunscreen on the internet and don't mind importing some, Japanese and South Korean sunscreens are really amazing. Very cosmetically elegant- you can't even feel they're there- and very good sunscreen to boot. They often tell you the PA rating (how much UVA it blocks), while most American sunscreens only list the SPF (which is only how much UVB is blocked).

If you're interested, I could recommend you some brands.

This. I hate hate hate sunscreen, but have had 2 basal cell carcinomas, so I have to wear something. This is the only thing I can stand on my face.

I use Neutragena oil-free moisture in an spf 35. Its a moisturizer and I use it every day. It isn't all greasy and weird like a sunscreen and it doesn't make me break out (I'm allergic to almost anything made for faces). If I will be in the sun all day I use Neutragena Age Shield face lotion broad spectrum spf 70. Both are under $12, they last for months and you can get them at Target in the face moisturizer section.

Another vote for Neutrogena Ultra Sheer. Have been using it for years. Started using it during DD's most sensitive face years and have continued to use it because it's good stuff.

I have really sun sensitive skin (as in a sun allergy anywhere I don't have sunscreen on) so I have to make sure I reapply every few hours. The problem is that I have a lot of scars from bad acne as a teen and feel self-conscious without at least foundation on. Reapplying sunscreen over makeup didn't really appeal to me.

What I've found that works beautifully is this stuff - Avene Eau Thermale High Protection Tinted Compact. I can reapply a fresh coat of sunscreen and it keeps me looking great!

EDIT: Forgot to mention it is dermatologist and Environment Working Group recommended.

Yes!!! Blue lizard for sure!!! I get the water resistant kind for my face specifically. My dermatologist recommended it! I have melasma on my face and it's the only thing I trust. You can order it though CVS. Just go into the store.

I use this for my family. It's great for sensitive skin because it's a physical, not chemical sunscreen. However, it can leave a bit of a white cast on darker skins or if you don't rub it in completely on paler skins.

Be sure to avoid wearing any anti-acne creams or lotions in the sun.

You can even wear it over makeup, just brush it on with a big powder brush or the sponge! AND it really works! Lasts all day! You can use it all over too if you want, but I mainly use it on my face/neck and have never ever gotten a burn while using it, and that is saying a LOT for me because I burn SO easily!

I use AVEENO® POSITIVELY AGELESS® Youth Perfecting Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 as my base. then I use a powder foundation from Bare Minerals with a SPF of 15 because I love my makeup.

I am very fair skinned and can burn in only 20 minutes w/o spf protection. I have been using this combination year round for about 8 yr's. Doesn't clog my large pores and I don't feel it at all like other sunscreens. I have even reapplied the moisturizer then makeup back on top if it's been an extended time in the sun and had no issues with clogged pores.

If your daughter has acne I think your original idea of a Proactive product is a good one.

I love Tarte B&B cream. Not a sunscreen, but it has sun protection in it and you can layer it with actual sunscreen
