I'm thinking of getting a new digital camera. We're going to WDW this summer and I think I'd like to get a very slim camera that's light and can slip into my fanny pack but I'm worried the quality won't be as good as my larger Kodak. Any suggestions?

I think you'll be suprised at how good the quality in the smaller, thinner cameras are. Try looking at some of the major brands websites (Nikon, Canon, etc.) and get reviews at one of the camera review sites. Do just a little research and you'll find hoards of good choices. My personal pick would probably be the Canon SD700 IS. It gets perfect scores from owners for size and photo quality. But I'm sure there are others with similar quality.

We went with a Canon SD600 last fall; if I were buying today, I'd definitely go for a Fuji due to their sensors being a good bit larger and hence their image quality being clearly superior.

Unfortunately, not all their models support SD cards yet, but the newest ones do. Otherwise you're stuck with the more expensive xD format, which is really the only reason we didn't go with one (and if I knew then what I know now, I would have got one anyway.)

If you like the features of the Kodak, get one of their V series - I have a Z612 and a V550 (I think). The V550 is awesome for vacation pics!
