Good Site to Rent Timeshare Other than DVC?

We are looking to rent points for a couple of nights at the Wyndham Bonnet Creek. We are only choosing that resort because we have friends staying there.

Does anyone know of any reputable sites where we might be able to rent for a couple of nights at a good price? I know you can rent directly from Wyndham, but it is expensive.

Craigslist, TUG, redweeks, ebay, bidshsares, timeshare forums, etc. I also have the name of a private person that rents Wyndham (I think), I'll pass the info along to you privately if you want, just email me directly. There likely is a yahoo or similar email list with rental options, maybe Brain Noble knows of some location that is more specific to Wyndham.

there is a person there that rents BC points. he is surpose to be very reasonable.

I got his name off the Orlando Hotels portion of the DisBoards. We are renting a stay at the Wyndham Smoky Mountains from him in 2 weeks. He's been nice to work with so far. Very good response time in e-mail and his prices are good. Go to this thread:

That thread is where I got the info. There are several posters who've rented from him in the past. And Bonnet Creek looks SUPER SUPER NICE. We are thinking of staying there when we are out of points.

Thanks everyone for all the good suggestions. I have started looking at all these sites. But I am getting a bit overwhelmed. We have never rented any timeshare before.

How do you pay these people and how do you make sure they are not scamming you? Any suggestions from those who have done this before?

you pay according to their terms.

renting a timeshare from an individual vs a corporation involves trust.

if you don't trust them - don't rent.

that say both Ken (and yea he was the one) and David have good reputation. Think you will be fine with either of them.
