need to rent a car for a up coming trip
does anyone have a favorite that they always use?
Perhaps a good off site rental car place.
I need at least a standard car and its coming up almost 500 dollars!
thanks for info!

We have tried them all but prefer National for the Emerald Aisle which allows you to bypass the lines. We were able to find a code on Mousesavers to waive the fee to join. BJ's has promo codes and I am watching for additional coupon codes as you can stack 4 codes.
We are now trying to decide if we should cancel rental and take ME because the rental sits in the drive a lot when we stay on property.

Check over on the Transportation Board! There are monthly car rental threads for the next few months. Let me guess, you're looking for a rate at Christmas.

We scored our Orlando rental car for our Christmas week through Hotwire. $19pp and we scored a RAV4 (there'll be 4 adults on this trip). Good luck!

I'm not sure when OP is going but we arrive on Thanksgiving day. I've already checked the transportation board too.

Rates have been crazy. I've been keeping an eye of them for our trip in June. The deal I found was a tip off the FlyerTalk boards. Go to KLM's website and sign up for the Flying Blue program (it's free). Then do a search for 'flying blue partners'. They have a partnership with National and include a discount code to use. Check out the rates with that code. I was able to score a really nice deal on a minivan with this code.

When will you be traveling and how long will you be staying? We got a really great deal when we went in August. Will you be picking the car up at MCO? I could check if you give me the dates.

I used expedia.com for our up coming trip. Mid size for 8 day for $192 taxes everything. No rental.

Check costco(if you have a membership), I was able to get a fullsize for $135 for a week. We go in 3 weeks. The cheapest I found was around $300 and was going to use Hotwire because it was $100 less, I used hotwire the last time and it was fine.

Sorry for the delay. If you go on to Dollar rental car and put in all of your information and show all car types, you will be taken to the next screen that has all of the cars and prices. Choose "Check for City Special" and it will take you to another screen. A Full Size car for a week is 275.00. It is cheaper than a Standard car. Hope I'm not too late. Have a great trip.

We always stick with Alamo/National since you get to walk out to the lot and choose which car to drive instead of just being handed one. Usually the variety at MCO is very good!
