Hi
I'm new and not sure where to post this question. We have Fort Wilderness lodge booked for 7 nights + deluxe dining & 7 day world hopper pass for $3425 in December. Actually wanted to go either in Jan, Feb or Mar 2010. Is $3425 a good package price that we should take advantage of or should we wait for a better package during the time that we had wanted to go?

Thank you

Depending on when you have that booked for December the price may be better in a later month as the parks are less busy.

Thank you. It is Dec 12 - 19. Ideally we had wanted to go Jan 23 - 30 but I don't know if I can get a package as low as this Dec package.

Have you gone to Disney's website and played around with different options? If not, you should go and put in all your info and figure out what the rack rate would be for your week in December vs. your week in January. I would think that as soon as the booking window is up for the current promos, they will probably put out a discount for January.

How many people? What are their ages (adult? children 10 & older? children age 3-9? children under 3?). And finally what kind of room at the WL (woods view? courtyard? bunkbeds? concierge?).

All of those will have an impact on the total cost and will help us determine whether you got a good price or not.

Thank you. There are 4 people. 2 adults, 1 three yr old and 1 one yr old. All res says is Wilderness Lodge std view 2 queen beds. i used a free dining plan promo & upgraded to deluxe.

Free Dining is a great deal and you are saving about $91/night by getting it. But the flip side of that is that you are paying the full rack rate for the room.

A better deal for you would be to book the room-only discounted rate at WL and build it into a package on the Disney World website. Those very same nights with a woodview/bunkbed room, 7-day MYW hoppers (expiry) and DxDP would cost you $3187.49 without trip insurance or airfare.

You would be paying the full price for the tickets and DxDP but you would have a bigger discount on the room portion of your package.

The booking code for this discount is FSC if you want to call Disney directly to book this. You must ask to add tickets and then the DxDP in order to turn the room-only discount into a package.
