good price on US Air out of Buffalo

Hi everyone-Just wanted to let everyone know US Air put out the prices for a fall sale they have. Seats are out of Buffalo for $170.14 Canadian and seats are avaliable until the 2nd week of December. We flew them for MVMCP last year and really liked the service.

WOW ... that is a great rate. Just got my Visa bill for my SWA flights out of BUF for Jan and they converted at @ $235 Cdn -- they were $175 US.

Last week US Airways filed for the second time for bankruptcy. Our travel agent said that if we went ahead and booked our air portion of the trip with US Airway that we may lose all our money if they went under before or while we were in Orlando.. Not worth the great rates I've seen posted on the web..

bmt337, I was just about to post the same warning. There's already talk in the biz about what happens with FF tickets when US Air sinks, if flights can be booked with FF miles on Star Alliance partner airlines and if they'll still be honoured when US Air goes under.

It's not a happy situation. I'd be very cautious about booking anything too far out with them. Chances are very good that insurance wouldn't cover purchases made when the airline is already in this much trouble.
