Good News Thread!

We've been hearing a lot of sad and tragic stories as of late. Let's hear some good news..........

I'll start~my parents are in Los Angeles this week visiting my brother. My brother called a bit ago. They were standing outside the El Capitan theatre, watching the limos arrive for the premiere of Disney's Teacher's Pet. They saw Kelsey Grammer get out of a limo. AND the bonus~it's 80 and sunny in California today. (about 70 warmer than Ohio.)

I think this qualifies as a good news story: Today I called my best friend to wish her a Happy Birthday--we are both 37 years old and met in kindergarten when we were 4. We actually haven't seen each other in 16 years because of moving, job changes, etc., but we've kept our friendship going for 33 years!

Good news for me, our 13 week old puppy has slept thru the night 2 nights in a row.

My new apartment is finally starting to look like a real home. Target had some very cute curtains that we think will look very nice. Also, it's not as cold here as it has been.

I spent a fun day with my DD and 2 DGDs

DH and I went out to dinner with sister and brother-in-law

I have a interview tommorrow for a better job!!!!!!

1) I talked a guy out of breeding his pit bull -- that's at LEAST 6-10 lives saved!!

2) Both of my parvo patients are holding down food -- one went home today, and the other goes tomorrow if there's no puking overnight!

3) My Buddy's tumor came back benign!!!

My nephew Levi came home from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit on Wednesday, I got to hold him on Thursday, and he is doing very well! Thank you Lord!

My entry to set up at the BEE convention in Orlando in July was accepted! I am making good use use of that annual pass. =0)

Good news from dd's swim meet today - she won one of her heats, came in 2nd in another and she shaved off time in 2 of her events - she swam 5 in total this afternoon

My DD will turn 1 on the 20th.
My countdown timer says 30 days 8 hrs. 2 mins. 24 secs.

It is the one year anniversary of the date that we got our new kitten, Mischief. She was 8 weeks old then. Now she is all grown up and still a petite little lady and a lot of fun to have around.
