Ms. Rhine,

Thank you for your interest in BAGS. We appreciate you taking the time to inquire about our services.

Southwest will be added to the program later this year. Please visit our website again in the future for updates to our ever growing list of locations and partners.

Regards,

I see your company does not list Southwest airlines and the Walt Disney World Resorts. Any chance that Southwest Airlines will begin participating in the resort airline check-in at the Walt Disney World Resorts in the near future?

Thanks so much
Diane

Can you please post the web site for them so we can all keep up on whats going on......Thanks

Airlines sometimes show up on the BAGS website before they're added to DME. SW doesn't show up as an airline participating with BAGS.

I know more than a year ago BAGS was trying to get SW to sign up but there were computer issues. SW may be more motivated now that DME has been extended for 5 years.

The reason I even looked into it was when I was at the counter at MCO checking in due to my DDs peanut allergy they saw my boarding passes were printed on Walt Disney World Resort letter head, and the desk agent said they are in the process of setting up their system to handle Magical Express and it should be in place by September. And that was direct from Southwest.

Gee I hope it is there by Sept. that would be great news.

That would be great! Please post updates if you get more information about when SW will be added as a participating airline. I hope their program is in place by September. :thumbsup2

Oh, I hope SW participates with ME by September! That would be great. We flew AA last year and it was so easy for me to just drop the luggage off at the hotel's ME counter and not worry about it until we got home. :)

Does anyone know if this will also mean you can check your luggage at Port Canaveral when getting off a DCL ship? Or is that a separate 'system'?

Now that's the best news I've heard today. It's only 9:25 in the am so things can only go up from here. :teeth:

Southwest is currently NOT a participating airline for the Resort Airline Check-In desk.

If (and when) they do, you can bet I will post the official announcement as soon as it comes around.

The term "Participating Airline" ***ONLY*** refers to the Resort Airline Check-In desk, going back to the airport.
