Yes, on board the Disney Magic they now serve FRESH BREWED Iced Tea in the dining rooms for lunch and dinner!!! WOO HOO!!

I was about to brew my own in the dining room as I have on many other cruises, and our assistant server told me that they now brew it in the dining rooms. I was THRILLED!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc ::yes::

Now if only I could get them to make it sweet tea I'd be all set!

Oh YUM!!!

Thanks for the info! :)

From one Iced Tea Addict to another...THANK YOU!!!! So does this mean that if I order Iced tea from room service, it would be fresh brewed as well?? I could keep it in my room and pour it over more ice? That would be AWESOME! thanks for the heads up!

Let them add sweet tea, but please keep the unsweetened as well for us northerners! I got an iced tea at Mcdonalds in Georgia on our last trip and I almost spit it across the room! (in shock, not rudeness LOL) The McDonalds tea up here is NOT sweet!

Great News, as I sit here sipping my morning glass of fresh brewed Iced Tea.

Apparently room service and the drink station are still the "liquid" instant tea (YUCK!) but the dining rooms are definitely fresh brewed. I was THRILLED to say the least. (I believe that sweet tea runs through my veins! :teeth: )

Robin--I'm laughing at your post. I remember my first visit "up north" when I asked for sweet tea I was looked at like an alien. In the south you often have to be careful if you want UNsweet tea because it is generally sweet unless you ask for it differently. My mother HATES sweet tea (the HORROR) and would have done the same thing you did!

I'm very happy to hear this!! Iced tea is my favorite beverage. Thanks for passing this info along :sunny:

Hey, Sue Ellen....were you 'THE' Sue Ellen up on the stage at the Mousketeer show last week?? :) I remember you said you also had Sasha and Maria, but you must have been late seating. :wave2:

Thank You for this information. I'm an iced tea snob and will only drink fresh brewed tea (and unsweetened:tongue: ). This will save having to brew it myself and pouring it over ice. Thanks again.

ah yes, tis a good day when fresh brewed ice tea makes the cut. ;)

I love me some iced tea. If it's fresh and not steeped too long, I have no problem drinking without sweetener. But I also have no problem at all with sweet tea! As a matter of fact, I love to make it at home during the summer.

Oh boy! And summer is just about here! :sunny:

When did they start this? We either had the "concentrate" or the servers didn't know how to make tea on the May 1 Magic. Maybe they actually read my criticisms. I did mention the tea on both the form we filled out on the ship and the online survey we completed.

This IS great newsl On all three of our Magic cruises, I always had the server bring me hot tea and a glass of ice. That Nestea was TERRIBLE!

And I have to give my vote for UNsweet tea. You can always add sugar, but you can't take it out! LOL

That was me! I did have late dinner seating with Sasha and Maria. I got up on that stage and blew it I was so nervous. I really knew the answer and was so PO'd after (I was thinking--trick question) Oh well, it was fun and I got the pin and DH got a panelist pin too.

I also managed to be in the magic show at Rockin Bar D with Mike Super (I had the dollar bill) What a week!

I just answered you on your REAS thread. That was SO funny. We had beautiful swans. I was almost in tears laughing so hard!

This is one Northerner who wishes we could get sweet tea up north. We love it! We've gone through a gallon here already.

Do any of you iced tea drinkers know if they serve de-caf iced tea. DH is on Atkins and he only drinks de-caf. I would be happy to turn hot tea into iced tea for him if de-caf tea bags are avaiable. Thanks for the info.

Thanks for the heads up. My wife will be thrilled. It sounds like I would like sweet tea, though. I steer clear of the unsweetened stuff. There's not enough sugar on the table for me to sweeten it up like I like it!

WooHoo! My family has dubbed the non-brewed tea "NASTEA."

I'm a southern girl through and through and I've been known to spit out a mouthful of sweet tea on more than one occassion.
