I finally got word today (after being on a 4 year waiting list) that I got accepted to nursing school!

My question is, we are really thinking of pushing up the wedding date to sooner rather than later. Does anyone know if there is a minimum time to book a wedding at Disney? Has anyone booked at wedding less than 7 months in advance? Any advice is greatly appreciated! :)

 CONGRATULATIONS! on the acceptance to Nursing school Michelle!

I can't give you any answers to your other questions, but I'm sure there are some here who can.

I just wanted to say congrats on the school thing...and the wedding.

Congrats on being accepted to nursing school!

I am pretty sure that you can book a DFTW only 7 months in advance, as long as they have the date, location, etc. available. Give them a call on Monday. Let us know how it turns out. Good luck :)

We booked our wedding less then 4 mos. in advance. Although we did a very intimate intimate wedding. We were married on a Thursday in July.

The only 'problem' with booking 7 months in advance will be the availability of the locations you are looking at. Give Disney a call and see if what you have in mind is available.

Congratulations!

Thank you so much! I will be calling first thing Monday. We planned on having only our parents and my little sis in attendance, so it shouldn't be too much trouble. I waited so long for a spot in the nursing class to open up, I figured I would have plenty of time for planning my wedding. Since school will be taking up the majority of my life for the next 2 years, we didn't want to postpone getting married. This is definitely turning out to be one of the best years for me! :cloud9:

AMEN to that, sista!! Hah! I am a Registered Nurse and boy was Nursing School the toughest and hardest road of my life..........however, it was also the most rewarding and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!!!!! BEST of luck to you through it all! I know you'll do great!!! :)

CONGRATULATIONS on being accepted, that's one of the best feelings!! You have obviously worked very hard to keep trying for four years! :cool1:

CONGRATS!! :cheer2: on getting into nursing school~!! What an exciting year for you! :) Let us know what Disney says about the date! GL

Congrats!!

I think Intimate Weddings can be booked with only 30 days notice. We booked ours in June, and we're getting married in September! (06!)

Yay! That is such awesome news. :cheer2: Good for you! I booked the wedding a little over 7 months out. There were no issues. The best part was not having to do the whole lottery thing which sounded very stressful and frustrating to me. We just came up with a date and it was available. I am so happy to have done it this way. I am so excited and cannot imagine waiting and planning for a year. I think I'd burst. :Pinkbounc

Let us know what happens when you call. Good luck!

Vicky

Just as a follow up...I got even more good news...a seat opened up in the class and I can start in September if I want! I have 3 more days to decide. If I start school now, there is no way I'll be planning my wedding for 2007. We're thinking about what path to take now. I really had my heart set on the wedding, but I've been waiting for school for soooo long. What's a girl to do?? :confused3 Even if I choose to start nursing early, I can still hang out on the boards and get even more ideas and plan something a little bigger...hmmm...sounds like a plan?? :goodvibes
