The good news is that I just received my Green Mickey Ears trailer hitch cover that my friend's father made for me. Too Cute!

The bad news... just found a place in one of the Aliner ceiling panels where the wallpaper is starting to peel and water has been dripping down. We cut a strip of wallpaper off and the material underneath is soaked. :sad2: I don't see anyplace outside where the sealant looks compromised. Looks like we're spending next weekend driving 2 hours each way to the nearest dealer. Bummer.

:thumbsup2 on the trailer hitch cover

:sad2: about the leak. Hope all can be repaired quickly.

The hitch cover is too adorable! :cool1:

And I'm really sorry about the leak. Ugh. Hope it's a quick and low-cost fix.

Cute "Micky Head"!!!

Just curious....do you think the leak is coming from one of the skylights?

I checked out the sealant on the outside of the roof panel and it all looks good to me. I don't see any breaks or places it has pulled away. It scares me to think what it looks like under the wallpaper. I could probably peel off a bunch more; but, I wouldn't know how to fix/replace the core material anyway. I checked it out yesterday evening after I had pulled off the small piece of wallpaper and it was dripping outside near where the bad place is inside. We haven't had any rain to amount to anything in several weeks and while it is outside, it is a fairly protected area - an 8 foot stockade fence to the immediate south, 2 twenty foot arborvitae to the immediate west, a 25 year old live oak to the north. I hope I don't have to get a new roof panel. :scared1:

Ugh, Judy. The only other place it could be leaking would be under the flashing of the roof panels. We looked very closely at this type of camper when they first came out. I loved it - but too small for our needs. We take 2 cats camping with us and not enough room for them to roam around in. Other than that, I love this camper. It's something I would be comfortable towing and setting up by myself. I hope the repairs are easy & cheap! Keep us posted. (Keeping my fingers crossed for you)

Thanks. I'm trying to think positive thoughts.

A cat litter pan in an Aliner is a scary thought!

We took the Aliner to RV-Max in Whitesboro, TX yesterday to get the leak checked out and one of the first things the maintenance manager noticed was missing sealant on both the front and back moulding right below the roof hinges. He said the rain would hit the front of the tt, run uphill and under the moulding. That also explains why the front bed was wet when we drove from Fort Worth to The Fort last year in a monsoon. We spent the first afternoon at The Fort in the 1500 loop laundry drying out my bedding :sad2:. They are keeping the tt for the week to give it a once over. We'll go back up next week end to pick it up and check out the Whitesboro Peanut Festival. Sounds like small town America at its best!

Gotta check those roof seams at least once a year, Judy. Seal em up even if they don't look like they need it.

Duane at RV-Max in Whitesboro, TX found a place where the roof seam seal looked good to me; but, it had a leak in it. He repaired it, sealed the two strips right below the front and back roof hinges that the factory had neglected to seal, and replaced the wallpaper that had been damaged. Thanks to all the good thoughts coming this way, it only cost $48! Thank you very much! :thumbsup2

It sounds like you found an honest RV technician!! I'm glad he found the problem and repaired it lickety split and for little $$!!! That puts more $$ in your Fort Fund! Have fun at the peanut festival!

Time to get up on the roof of my trailer and get some Eternabond on those seams.

Glad they were able to solve your problem quick and cheap!
