We have a trip booked with dining. We want to add one more night, but if we do that it adds dinning plans cost as well. We will fly out that morning, so do not want to add dinning and it would add $1,000 to our part of six . We want to move to a good neighbor hotel that has good reliable park shuttle so we can shuttle to MK then to Wilderness Lodge for our goodbye breakfast, our tradition. Has anyone stayed at a good neighbor hotel? Prefer Marriott because we have points but does not have to be Marriott.
Thanks so much!!

I've only had experience at the Swan, if you can afford the points at any of their 3 locations I think it's just as good as an on property hotel because of the proximity to Epcot/ skyliner/monorail.

Orlando World Marriott the shuttle is by reservation stayed here once seemed pretty reliable not sure if it's a good neighbor hotel though and we have also stayed at Drury Hotel @ Disney springs, and they had scheduled times for shuttle service to all parks very nice hotel and in Disney Springs which is nice it is an Official Disney world hotel.

The Flamingo Crossing area Marriotts have great pricing, but I have never used their shuttles. If you used Uber or Lyft you could go directly to the WL if you have an ADR there for breakfast, saving some time. Are you leaving luggage at the hotel you have to go back for?

These are the Good Neighbor Hotels ~~ you can check each one's shuttle options. Some require fees and reservations.

But I would look at the Swan/Dolphin. Then JW Marriott Bonnet Creek and Marriott World Center.

My advice is to budget a few bucks for a rideshare, like Uber or Lyft. I would use that for certain for your breakfast at Wilderness Lodge. They will take you right there from wherever you end up.

After picking a hotel, you can see if the shuttle works for you, but I would select my hotel based on price and other amenities, not the shuttle.

If your main reason for booking a Good Neighbor hotel is so you don't have to add-on to your package and dining plan, have you considered just booking an on property resort for 1 night separately? That's what I did for my upcoming trip.

We would book an all star resort but we need 2 rooms and I Have hotel points for several brands so I want to use points for a hotel stay. I would rather stay on property for sure. No fun sticking to a budget!

Totally agree. You can't beat the Swolphin (The Reserve too rich for my blood) if you can't get 100% in the Bubble for whatever reason. Swolphin is as 'Bubbly' at it gets.

Check your hotel brands website for reward bookings. The DS hotels have decent shuttle service. Swan, Dolphin and Reserve work.

Many of the hotels with lower point requirements are likely to have poor shuttles service. Maybe not free.
Weigh lower point redemption against the cost of ride share. Flamingo Crossing,.Marriott Village and Palm Parkway work if you're willing to use ride share.
