We have reservations at DLH for 3 nights. We are now considering adding another night to have 4 full days in DL. Any suggestions for a Good Neighbor hotel for the 4th night?

Ha ha! ;)

And now Sy, will be performing his most wondrous rendition of the Amazing Kresken
!

Actually, it would be my Uncle Cheeto's sofa bed, which I share with Jose, the tiny terror AKA The Amazing Dancing Chihuahua, whom can be visited twice a day, at Sea World, performing his tremendous feats, or should I call them paws? he use to perform 4 times a day, however, do to his renegotiating his contract, two performances have been cut recently, and the status quo shall remain, until management caves in! so therefore, fans of Jose, unite! and call, fax, phone or hold a picket sign, for and at Sea World, in order to assist Jose with his current demands! I say this country is going to the dogs! and Jose loves it that way! and don't make him angry, either, for you do not want to see an angry chihuahua, believe you me,it is only second to scary, in comparison to angry chimpanzees, especially when they are el loco! ay, caramba!

 I'm speechless............

There are several locations, and if you are looking for something within walking distance, you can try BW Park Place Inn, Tropicana, Camelot, or a little farther at Fairfield Inn, Howard Johnsons, or Candy Cane. If you are looking for a little more hotel/luxury, try Marriott or the Sheraton. :)

I am trying to plan what will be our first trip to DL. I have been looking at hotels and am considering making ressies at Candy Cane Inn. Any feedback on this hotel?

CCI is very well liked on these boards. They have been owned by the same family since they opened, and they are very clean and comfortable. Also, they have a private dedicated shuttle, which is reputed to be very reliable and better than ART. They are close enough to walk if you don't mind about 15 minutes' walking.

Howard Johnson is also very well liked, reputed to be clean and comfortable and within walking distance, too, although they are one long block farther up Harbor than the "crosswalk" motels. They run their Entertainment book rate which makes them a great value- $59 a night for a standard room, $74 for a deluxe, Disney-facing room. Here's the website that has the dates for the Ent rate: http://www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=14

Hope that helps! :)

HOJO lol never stayed there but I will in oct.

I stayed at desert inn 2 times now I didnt mind it at all.

I stayed at del sol inn it was ok I would rather stay at desert inn

hojos staying there oct.
camolot inn was grate last year
desert inn right across street was gona stay there oct but hojos ent rate came avalibule

We have stayed at both Camelot Inn and Carousel Inn. Both were clean and very close to the parks. We had 3 kids and 2 teenagers with us so really loved the extra space in the Camelot 1 bedroom.

Stayed at the Fairfield Inn. Liked it, the walk was great. Millie's is great! McDonalds right there in the next parking lot.

We are trying HOJO's this year. We get the Entertainment rate. :thumbsup2

Thanks a bunch! That helps a great deal and I think confirms my decision to make ressies there. I've never been to DL, but have been to WDW many times. I'm excited about planning this trip.

Thanks again!

In order of my family's preference

HoJo (gotta love that Ent Rate!!)
CCI (free shuttle, free breakfast, nice rooms)
Tropicana and BWPPI are tied because they are so close to the parks.
We always try the HoJo first then CCI, and we do walk from the HoJo but at CCI we normally just use the free shuttle. Walking distance/time is about the same but if there is a free shuttle we are gonna use it to save our feet. LOL

Oh I so agree! savings one feet, is always a good idea! believe me. :) (just ask my heels, and I thought those shoes would be comfortable!)

Ha ha! Sy, that is funny! ;) I was referring to my accommodations, while visiting SoCal. ;) (not really) just funin'. :) although that would save money, I just need to find an Uncle Cheeto! ;)
