I've been seeing a lot of requests for motel info recently, so I wanted to make sure everyone knew about the reviews I've been doing this year for The DIS.

Links to all of the reviews can be found here:

So far this year I've reviewed:

Quality Inn & Suites at the Park
Staybridge Suites
Residence Inn Anaheim Resort
Best Western Plus Stovall's Inn
Motel 6 Anaheim Maingate
Fairfield Inn
Anabella Hotel
Camelot Inn and Suites
Cortona Inn and Suites
Candy Cane Inn

Where else do you want me to stay??

please review Desert Inn and Suites. I hear it is very close to the cross walk. thanks

We stayed there in November 2012. Loved it!! It I so close that you are able to easily run back to the room during the day in a matter of minutes. I.e. Taking back or picking up sweaters/coats so you don't have to carry them around. It's dated but clean. We had a family suite which was essentially two adjoining rooms. It was perfect for our family of five. 4 beds and two full bathrooms. Also, their mini-fridges are bigger than your average mini-fridge.

I agree with everyone who has listed DI&S. Tom, I think it would be great for your listeners to know about the pros (super close) and cons (breakfast) among your other viewpoints. We've really enjoyed our stays there but I think it's beneficial to have a complete view of the hotel before staying.

Another vote for Desert Inn. We're staying in a parlor suite there in February.

We just stayed at the Best Western Park Place and liked it a lot. Curious as to what you think of this place if you've stayed here. The only thing is on the Good Neighbor link you provided, it says complimentary parking. They actually charged 10.00 per day to park but let you stay until 3 after checkout on the last day. Actually, we were late getting back and it was closer to 4:30 and they let it go without an extra charge. you can't beat the location either!!

Oh...I didn't realize it wasn't technically a 'good neighbor' hotel. Their website says they are.

WOW those were super fun to look through!! While I'm a dire hard Disneyland Hotel Girl, I really enjoyed looking through your information. We stayed at Candy Cane Inn on our honeymoon in 1984 and then again in 1987 so if was fun to look at that one especially, and it looks just as nice as it did back then. I also have to admit, a couple of those look very nice and I can see why people enjoy them as much as they seem to. I would also be interested in seeing HOJO's as that is another we stayed at early in our marriage. I might add -- it looks like you have one GREAT job there, exploring anything Disneyland would probably be a fun job!!!!

Thanks again, I enjoyed your information.

Just wanted to say I've enjoyed your hotel reviews. Even though we are huge fans of Candy Cane Inn, it is good to have another place in mind for a back up plan.

Funny thing, we started out staying in a different hotel every time we visited. I wanted to try out different ones. Then we tried CCI and never went to another one again. :)

I too would love to see a review of best western park place

Thank you for your podcasts and reviews! I love them. We are staying at the Anabella next month in a larger room, and was happy to hear your podcast. Although the place gets mixed reviews (love or hate it) - I think it will fit our needs just fine.

Who knew there could be so much anxiety around picking the "right" hotel close to Disneyland?? I am still scared I made the wrong choice! :)
