If you are staying at the Waldorf, Signia Hilton, or a few others you are entitled to certain "on-site" benefits such as extra morning hours and making those special lightning lane reservations at 7 instead of 9 a.m. I am trying to figure out how to prove that. Is there a place on MDE to add the name of your hotel and reservation number?

Just to clarify for those looking to book hotels with perks, those are not Good Neighbor hotels. Good Neighbor hotels do not have any benefits or perks.

Per your questions -

This is from the Hilton Signia website, you'll show your Resort ID for the Early Entry.

GUEST BENEFITS
Starting October 1,enjoy 30 minutes early entry to any Theme Park every day! That means you’ll have even more time to experience the dazzling Walt Disney World® 50th Anniversary Celebration.
A Park reservation and valid ticket or pass for the same Park on the same date and valid Resort ID are required.

As far as getting Individual Lightning Lane purchases, I can't find anything that says those hotel qualify for 7 am. This is from the Disney website.
  • Guests of a Disney Resort Hotel and Other Select Hotels: These Guests can make their first purchase starting at 7:00 AM on the day of their visit. Available to Disney Resort hotel Guests and Guests of Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels and Shades of Green.
  • All Other Guests: These Guests can make their first purchase when the park opens.

Anyone can book Genie+ Lightning Lane reservations at 7 am no matter where you are staying.

You should just be able to make reservations at 7 am, MDE will recognize what resort you're staying at. In terms of the early entry, they'll scan your magic band at the entrance and it will show your resort.

You can link your hotel res # in MDE so it'll scan for early entry. You can't make the $LL reservations until park opens tho. Just the reg genie + ones.

I am so glad I asked this! I believe my misunderstanding about Lightning Lanes at 7 a.m. happened when I did an internet search on the topic and pulled up a few articles that mentioned early entry privileges and I mistook that for the privileges I had been searching for! Thanks for the heads-up!

I am grateful to at least get the 30 minutes before opening benefits. I can work with that!
That's not Good Neighbor. Disney Good Neighbor hotels just give you one or two buses to Disney and Disney theming at the hotels.

Early Theme Park Entry is only available at these hotels:

Extended Evening Hours add these non Disney hotels:
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/extended-evening/
  • Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
  • Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
  • Walt Disney World Swan Reserve
  • Shades of Green® on Walt Disney World®

Good to know. I see the difference!

Right now the Dolphin and Shades of Green (if you are military) are probably the "cheapest" that gets you access to everything.

Yes, if you have purchased Genie+, you can make your first Genie+ Lightning Lane reservation of the day at 7 a.m. from anywhere. However, to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane pass, you must be staying at a "Disney Resort Hotel or Other Select Hotels" to make your first purchase at 7 a.m. Otherwise, you have to wait until the park opens. Generally speaking, the most popular rides - Rise of the Resistance, Flight of Passage, Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, etc., are NOT available on Genie+. They are only available through an Individual Lightning Lane purchase or the regular Standby Line. If you are not staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, call your hotel and ask if they offer that benefit. I'm staying at the Hilton Orlando Buena Vista Palace Disney Springs Hotel and that is supposedly one of the "Other Select Hotels" that does offer that benefit. However, you will need to add your hotel reservation to My Disney Experience to take advantage of any hotel benefits. After logging in, go to My Plans, Resort Hotel, Link a Reservation, and enter your Reservation Number and the last name on the reservation. If your hotel is one of the WDW Resorts, Disney Springs Hotels, or a Good Neighbor Hotel, you should be able to link it. A Good Neighbor Hotel only offers Disney information and shuttle(s) to the parks (a fee may apply). Most of the Disney Springs Hotels offer Early Park Admission, Park Shuttle(s), and some offer the convenience of purchasing Individual Lightning Lane passes at 7 a.m. One of the early respondents to this forum listed the few non-WDW Resorts that offer these benefits plus Extended Evening Hours and the ability to make dining reservations for their entire stay 60 days in advance of the first day of their hotel stay. (Those not staying in one of these resorts can only make a dining reservation 60 days in advance of the date of the dining reservation. What that means is if I'm staying at a WDW resort May 1 - May 8, on March 2, I can make dining reservations through May 8. If not staying at a WDW resort, on March 2, I can only make dining reservations through May 1. On March 3, I can make dining reservations only through May 2, on March 4, through May 3, etc.)

Family is staying at Dolphin to get ALL the benefits (early entry, evening EMH and early iLL$ access). Do they just add their Dolphin resort reservation # to their MDE account??
