Good National AAA rate for June!

Got a great AAA (6100253) using $20 coupon for 8 days beginning 6/17 of $120 for intermediate.

Since we used EA, we'll get to skip the counter & hopefully, snag something "good" off the aisle.

This is a few dollars higher than the Alamo res. for SUV but, I would require counter check in due to coupon. We'll only have 3 people, don't really need the size or the gas expense!

One question - AAA card is in my name; EA is in DH's name & he'll be the designated driver. Do you think the kiosk/booth on the way out will have a problem w/this?

I can't remember having to produce the AAA card in the past anyway.

Check and see if fullsize is even less. For my trip starting tomorrow, 8 days, fullsize was a bit less than intermediate. Also, I would not expect any problem. Enjoy.

Is that the $20 coupon on the National website? They expire before we are renting, but hopefully there will be more for July. Thanks for the contract ID, it did reduce my rate significantly even without the coupon.

My DH used QS with Alamo, had a coupon, was signed up for the express check out, and handed them a coupon at the booth and drove off. Had no issues giving them the coupon before he drove off.

WOW! I've tried this code off and on over the last couple of months and it always returned a rate that was similar to other codes I could use (ie 5007125) but today, the rate I was using is up $6 and this AAA one has dropped $32!!!

So now my EA rental from 5/28 - 6/5 (9 days) is $154.12

Thanks for the tip. I have been playing with my reservation and have made 11 new / cancels.

Currently, with the cntr ID 6100253 and coupon code ND41...my reservation for June 14 to June 25..EA is now down to $181.00....it started out at $307 then as low as $201 until the $181 today.

Thank you so much to the OP. I am down to 153 intermediate from 5/31 - 6/9 I started out at 245 three months ago. Went down to 193 two weeks ago and now I am down here. This forum is great.

DH lobbied hard for EA/National, since he was traumatized by the last go-around - nearly hour long wait @ Alamo's MCO counter . Glad to hear they accommodated your DH. I've called Alamo twice posing this situation & they insist that they will not apply a coupon on a QS res.???? Last operator I spoke to indicated that the coupon amount would be charged back to CC that secured the res. once they "close out" the rental (whatever that means).

Once less thing to stress about for us & we'll get credits toward a future free rental too.

I'm still getting $184+ for 7 days in September....no different than my other contract ID 5007125. Dang! I'll keep checking though!

Yeah, I bought an entertainment book hoping to use the National coupons, but they are not good on SUV's and minivans. My family has outgrown the full sized cars on long vacation trips.

New to the car rental world...Just reserved with National for 12/4 - 12/5 (two days at Universal). I did sign up for the email list, but am wondering if that is how you received these codes? We are both AAA members, but I do not remember seeing a spot to note that on the ressie. Thanks for helping the newbie!
