Hi Everyone!:wizard:
I am going to be staying the the Sequoia lodge 12th August-15th August with my boyfriend and when I booked this break with Disney on the phone they told me that I could no longer book my good morning fantasyland breakfast in advance!
Does anyone know why this is??
Does this mean that when I arrive at Sequoia lodge on August 12th in the afternoon that I try and book it there and then for the following morning?
With the EMH being 8AM-10AM, would 7:15/7:30 be a reasonably calm time to have breakfast or will it be ultimate chaos? I don't mind it being busy but I don't like the pushing and mess.
:confused3
Please advise

I was told the same thing at booking. It was explained to me that they don't do it in the Summer because of the two extra magic hours. Not sure if this is really the case or not, but that is what I was told.

They no longer book these in advance but you can try and book them at reception when you book in however they only have so many slots so it depends what they have available for your stay. It was like this at easter when we went
The earliest you can do breakfast in the park is 8.00 so if you want to take advantage of EMH you either need to have an early breakfast in the hotel or a late GMF towards the end of EMH

I've booked our Feb 09 trip today, and asked about this over the phone.
I was told that they no longer do GMFB at all and have replaced this with extra magic hours.

They have been saying this for a while now but they are still offered but only when you book in and dont take reservations in advance

Thanks for that info. I will be sure to ask when we check in. It would be a shame to miss it!

I really hope I get to have a GMFB in August because I absolutely loved it when I had it in September last year - I managed to be the 1st person in there and My parents and I had the whole place to ourselves for about 2mins before the crowds came! I was way too over excited but I just wanted to the first person in there to have a bit of magic to myself! It felt great:lovestruc

If EMH starts at 8AM, does anyone think a 7:30 slot for breakfast at sequoia lodge will be a bit crazy or am I better going that bit earlier?

The general experience is that most visitors to DLP are not earlier risers :cool1: Which means us Disney fans can make the best of an earlyish breakfast and EMH :)

We've gone down to breakfast at 7.00 to 7.15, the SL restaurant is lovely and quiet and you can be at the park gates for 8.00. :goodvibes

I stayed at the Sequoia last week and the receptionist gave us the breakfast in fantasyland tickets without us asking for them. He kept saying how much he liked our family and how nice we were... so I guess that was his present for us :goodvibes

Since EMH began we have always booked the 7-7.15 breakfast slot when we stay at the SL, it is ideal as it;s lovely and quiet at that time too (probably because we are the only people insane enough to be up at that time).

As for GMFB since EMH began I have never been offered it at booking but it has still been available, I guess due to EMH it isn't really advertised so anyone that never knew about it won;t go for it and for those of us who know it exists-if you don;t ask you don;t get.

I wasn't informed of it when we booked and then stayed at the Santa Fe in May but we requested it at check in and had it the next day.

I was going to request it in August when we stay at the DCR too.

I'm not 100% sure but I thought it wasn't available for DCR guests.

I thought it was only brought in to relieve the mad breakfast scrums at the Santa Fe, Cheyenne and Sequoia Lodge.

I was at DLRP last week and had breakfast in Fantasyland. I also took a picture of my voucher and it lists the following hotels: Newport Bay Club, Sequoia Lodge, Cheyenne, Santa Fe.

It looks like those staying at Hotel New York, DCR and Disneyland Hotel are not eligible.
