LOTS of airport delays with the snow/ice snarling travel on the eastern seaboard!HOPE those traveling make it down to Orlando!:thumbsup2
We always purchase travel insurance, especially in the winter. Like the delay of 5 hour feature with travel insurance in times like extreme weather conditions like this storm!
NOT looking forward to shoveling! Would RATHER be in my HAPPY PLACE!:woohoo::dance3:

I have a colleague flying out today to florida. Her airline had two flights go out on time this morning, and I'm hopeful (though somewhat skeptical) that she'll be able to fly out on time. I agree that having trip insurance would be quite handy for a day like the today. Good Luck all and safe travels!

We went through this last year with the storm on January 3. We were scheduled to sail on the Fantasy on Saturday the 4th and our airline tickets were for the 3rd. Earlier in the week we saw the forecast for Friday and changed our plans to fly out on Thursday. It was significantly more expensive as we had to fly Business Select, but was well worth it as the storm hit early and we still spent almost 2 hours in the plane on the ground as the snow kept coming down harder. We were finally de-iced and made it off of the ground. Even though we had travel insurance it was very stressful. This year we're flying down 2 days before our cruise. Wishing the best to all who are traveling today.

Here's hoping nobody is flying to MCO on Tuesday from Boston! We're expecting 2 ft of snow! ::yes::

BEST OF LUCK to all traveling in the next 3 days!
VERY SCARY blizzard predicted!:scared1::scared1: WISH WISH I was in my HAPPY PLACE!pixiedust:pixiedust:
STAY VERY SAFE!:)

If the flights are cancelled, there's no cost to the flyer, and if there's a severe weather, all you have to do is call Member Services, explain the weather and flight being cancelled and they'll cancel your trip and return your points.

It's happened to us twice and we didn't need the travel insurance because MS and the airline didn't charge us due to the severe weather conditions.

So lucky our daughter flew down on Sunday before the storm. She checked in Monday for her DCP!
