We are a couple in our early 30's (no kids)... What excursions would you recommend? Any to avoid? Thanks in advance!!!

Just wanted to say Hi from Jen in Mass :teeth: mid 30's no kids :teeth:

We would go over to St. John on our own... catch a cab at the ship to the ferry and go enjoy St. John. Beaches shopping and so on..

The 12 metre regetta on St. Martin was wonderful. I'm not the adventurous type, but my wife thought it sounded fun. We had our then 12 and 16 year old with us. All I can say, is wow. It was a blast. You can be as active, or inactive as you want in running the sailboat.

We did the Golden Eagle Cat. snorkle. Very fun!!!!!!!!!! The snorkle part was nice..........but the trip over on the catamaran was the BEST part.

The Rhino Riders on St. Martin were also a blast... kind of depends on what you want to do....

We did Coral World and Coki Beach on our own. Found Coral World informative, and good snorkling near rocks on small Coki Beach. On our trip, St. Thomas was flooded with 6 cruise ships, so we didn't even want to try Magen's Bay (our table mates said it was very crowded--so we'll have to go again to see one of the world's 10 best beaches! LOL)

In St Thomas there is an individual who does tours named Godfrey. He is awesome. He will pick you up at the port the 1. take you to town to shop until noon 2. Pick you up in town and give you a tour of the island. (about 2 hours) 3. Take you to one of 3 beaches (Coki, Maegan Bay or Saphirre) 4. Pick you up from the beach (I don't remember how long we were there but it was plenty of time) and return you to the port. All of this for a cost of $20 per person. This was the best deal of the cruise and we were some pleased with the service that Godfrey provided. And you don't pay until they drop you off a the port. He has a web site you can contact him to schedule. Also if you go to cruisecritics.com to the destinations boards there are alot a happy customers of his.
