Good dinner option for a large group?

We will be going at the end of August, and while we are not officially a grand gathering, and we are not technically traveling together, there will be 17 of us total. We would love to have a fun dinner with all of us, age ranges from 2 1/2 to 42. Can anyone recommend places that might be able to accomodate a group of that size well?

Not sure if they can accommodate a group of 17, but we love to go to 'Ohana's. They are at the Polynesian resort and have delicious food and fun entertainment for all (especially kids). The largest party we've had there was 12 and that worked fine.

Not sure where you're staying, but we had a large, last minute, group in Jan. 2009 at Pepper Market at CSR and everyone loved what they ate, kids and adults alike. It was easy for us to keep the bills separate because it's a CS restaurant where you bring up a slip to the different food areas (grill, salads, desserts, etc), but they do bring you your drinks to the table. We had the adults at one table (10 of us) and the kids sat at a table right in front of us (7 kids). It was excellent. DH and I ate there again last week and the food was still delicious - I had the salad with salmon, he had steak and both were outstanding. Additionally, while we were there this year, on a Thursday night it was empty and they could definitely accomodate a large group. Good luck!

I agree that Ohana could probably accomidate you. You might also want to look at a character buffet outside the parks like 1900 Park Fare or Chef Mickey's.

Beirgarten (in Germany, EPCOT) may be a fun option and the tables seat larger parties, even if you were a small group, you'd be seated with other people.

For my wedding 2 years ago we had about 20 people. We ate at a bunch of places, but my favorite was Spirit of Aloha. It kept everyone occupied and the food was pretty good.

I agree that Ohana's is a great choice. They are great at handling larger groups and the food is timed so that everyone in the group can eat and enjoy together. Just save room for the bread pudding; it is one of the best desserts you will find.
