Good deal on Disney gift cards at Meijer's

Just thought I'd share that Meijer's is having a deal with mperks on gift cards. You spend $50 on gift cards and get $5 mperks off a future Meijer's purchase. I bought a $100 Disney gift card yesterday and just checked my Meijer's mperks account and I have a $10 reward. You can get up to 10 rewards, so spend $500 and get $50 off a future Meijer's purcahse. I know they do this throughout the year, especially at Christmas time. You can get this deal on lots of other gift cards, not just Disney. Deal ends April 8. Remember to enter your mperks to get the deal. I know Kroger's and Giant Eagle give extra gas points when you buy gift cards, but not sure how they work, I do most of my shopping at Meijer's.

Make sure you check when reward is to be used by, I think it said by May5 or 6.

No, you cannot. Coupon terms specifically exclude gift cards.

I once forgot to enter my mperks number at the store. Found out that if you forget to do it at the store, you can do it online, you just enter info from your store receipt. The directions on how to do it are on the mperks page of Meijer's website.
Meijer's are in Michigan and Ohio, not sure where else. Our's has the nicest employees.

Meijer is expanding into Wisconsin too. Milwaukee already has them, green bay store looked almost ready to open when we drove past a couple weeks ago, and Appleton coming fall 2018. Looking forward to it!

I get my gift cards at Giant Eagles gas chain called GetGo. Normally for every $50 in gift cards you buy you get 10 cents in fuel perks or 10 cents off per gallon up to 30 gallons of gas. Basically for a $50 gift card you get $3 in free fuel which equals 6% in savings. A few times a year they will off double fuel perks which is 20 cents in fuel perks instead of 10. This is when I always stock up on our gift cards. With double fuel perks we get $6 in free fuel for every $50 gift card or 12% in savings. I also use my Sam's Club MasterCard to buy the gift cards which gives us 5% cash back from gas stations, so we are essentially getting 17% off our gift cards.

Yah - but with this deal you can get an additional 2-3% off if you have a cash rewards credit card. It's a great deal if you don't hold a credit card balance.
