Okay for all you deal shoppers. What is the best deal on a laptop out now or for Black Friday? It will be for me and my husband. It will only be used for fun not work. Do not need top of the line but do not want a piece of crap. I have been looking but I just get over whelmed and say forget it.

So please make your suggestions!!!
Thanks!!!

The Toshiba that Best Buy has right now is a pretty good basic laptop. It's $269 and guaranteed in stock through this Saturday.

Check out www.newegg.com

I buy almost all my computer equipment from them. My parents were looking for a good deal on a laptop and i had signed up on their website to receive special offers from them via email. When I found out my parents were looking, I started paying attention to their emails that had laptop deals. (They send a daily specials email, I usually just delete unless something catches my eye). They have some really good deals and my parents bought a Lenovo (mfr for IBM Thinkpads and now IBM sold off so you see them as Lenovo Thinpads. My work buys these exclusive). It has a 17" widescreen, 500gb hd, 4GB RAM and Intel i5 CPU and they paid $429. There are many other cheaper models that newegg sells also, but for what they got and the price, this was a deal. Plus free shipping and no sales tax. I trust newegg and have purchased many items and have never had any issue. Shipping is usually 2 to 3 days to me (Indiana). Might be worth the look!

I was also looking at the Toshiba, the down side to it is that while it is a dual core processor the speed is only 1.3 so it is pretty slow
