I wasn't quite sure where to post this but I need to find a very good, resort-like dog kennel for my little dog.(week of Christmas) He needs to have exercise daily. (he is part JR). Our kennel that I usually board him at home is full and we are on a waiting list, but so far no luck. I have found VIPet Resort and they look really nice, but would like first hand information. I am not interested in the Disney Kennels. We are staying at Vistana Resort and they do not take pets, so we thought we would just bring him with us and board him there if we found a decent place. He's a good traveler. PLEASE if anyone can help with a nice place I would be forever grateful!!!!! He is mama's boy and I couldn't bear it if he was mistreated or caught some disease. This is the worst part of owning pets. My cats just stay home, but he needs too much attention.

I can't answer your question. :goodvibes .

Try posting to the resorts board. That might get your more answers.

You are very welcome. Good luck to ya and have fun in Disney!!!

There are also a lot of locals on the Community Board so you might get some good ideas from them on who they trust with their pets when they LEAVE Orlando to go on vacation.

Thank you for that suggestion also. I will try that. I think I have now posted is about 50 different places :lmao: , just kidding, but I'm trying everywhere. I just don't want any bad thing to happen. I hate leaving him as it is. My other 2 dogs were couch potatoes so I could leave them at home and have the neighbor kids take care of them. It just won't work with this little hyper guy. He'd probably would eat the cats. :scared1: Thanks again.

Hey, you are looking for someone to take care of your babies-- you need to make sure you find somewhere that you can feel comfortable. That is why I thought that recommendations for Orlando locals might be better than tourists. Get as many recommendations as you can and hopefully you will see a few names rise to the top.

Good luck and have a great trip!

When traveling with your pet make certain that you carry all of his records, including bortodelia vaccinations, etc. or they might not let you board with them. Just a thought.
