I have really started to convert most of my photos into B&W images. I was wondering what most of you guys who also do this, use for a B&W printer. I really like Epson's, but if there is something else out there, I am willing to move over to them. Right now I have a R340.

Thanks

Epson R2400 - the best at b&w.

I agree. I have the R1800 and it is good, but I have used an R2400 and those extra blacks make all the difference. It is an outstanding printer if you want to do black and white. Like I said, I do get good results with my R1800, especially on rag paper, but the R2400 is better.

Also there are high end ink packs with profiles for certian printers. Normally I am not for using third party inks, but these are not cheap refills. In fact they tend to cost more than your name brand inks. they are designed for a specific set of printers.
