When we went last April we had a 7'ish ressie at LeCellier and the service was so slow (food great) that we missed Illuminations. Is the service normally slow? (It may just have been us.... were not used to eating at fancier restaurants.)

What is a good time for an ADR to ensure you get out in time for the show?

TIA

We have 5:50 ressies...I hope that is good enough, I was just thrilled to get in!

We absolutely loved it and the food. It is one of DH's must eat places. The only bad thing was missing the fireworks. It was a slow relaxing meal.

And as DH says.... another reason to go back to WDW as we missed _______.

I couldn't agree more.

We just got back from Disney yesterday. We had reservations for 6:10 and were setted almost immediately. We were finished by 7:30. I agree the food is fantastic is was my DS14 favorite meal of our vacation.

I agree. We have 2 tables at 4:30 on our arrival day, and I'm just happy that I have them.

We have ressies at 5:40. IMO it's always better to get ADR's either for the very end of the seating time, or near the beginning. If you get them smack in the middle, the restaurant is busier and the service suffers.

Our plan for the night (it's a date night for my dh and I) is to have an early dinner, then shop and just have a romantic evening at the World Showcase, and then get some dessert to go and sit and wait for Illuminations.

I totally agree. We had our Le Cellier ADR for 5:20 last year and waited less than 5 minutes for sure...by the time we came out...people were backed up for 20-30 minutes. Unless you can't or do not want to eat an early dinner, you can expect to wait as the dinner service progresses...any problem early on will compound and roll through the evening. We are going at 6:30 this year, later than I would have liked, so we shall see!

We had a 6:45 ADR. We were out by 8:00ish after a relaxing meal. That gave us plenty of time to grab dessert and find a spot for Illuminations.
